¡Bienvenidos a Costa Rica! Once you arrive in beautiful Costa Rica, a representative will be waiting for you at the airport and will provide all the travel documents you need. A private transportation service will take you to your hotel located in the heart of the metropolitan area of San José.
After breakfast your guide will pick you up at your San Jose Hotel. The first part of your day consists of a visit to the Doka Estate Farm. Discover the systematic process of seed germination, the development of the plant up, as well as the recollection of the ripe grain. You will also learn about the history of the estate, its owners, the different coffee varieties of plants and the traditional way of cultivating this important product of exportation. You will also visit Costa Rica´s oldest coffee processing plant to admire its machinery, which is more than 120 years old. Here you will learn each of the stages of the process until coffee beans are roasted. Afterwards, you will continue to La Paz Waterfall Gardens; once at this natural park you will visit the largest butterfly garden in the country, an aviary full of local bird species, an impressive hummingbird gallery as well as snake, frog and wildcat exhibits. After enjoying a delicious buffet lunch, you will visit an old farmhouse and continue forest trails visiting three different spectacular waterfalls. Today you will visit an adventure park where you will explore the Sky Tram consists of a zip line system, which allows you to observe the rainforest from above. Sky Trek, this activity includes 8 transverse cables that go beyond the treetops and offer a panoramic view of the volcano and Lake Arenal. The tour begins with a tour in the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal reserve, then begins an adventure full of adrenaline above the treetops, which consists of a system of zip lines that allows you to observe the jungle tropical and its landscape from a different perspective, with security in an innovative and different system. Then, enjoy the Sky Trek tour, this activity includes 8 transverse cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances of 100 to 2460 feet, and with a maximum height of 660 feet, which exceed the treetops providing a Panoramic view of the Arenal Volcano and the lake. Today you will visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. This park has one of the most impressive landscapes in the world and has several coves with many white sand beaches and lush foliage amidst great mountains and forests that reach the beaches. The park has 3 different trails that go from flat to very steep. On this tour, a very knowledgeable nature guide will walk you through the Manuel Antonio National Park, explaining the mysteries of the rainforest. The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course about 2 miles long. Throughout your hike your guide will stop and teach you about the park’s natural history, which include exhaustive descriptions of animals and plants that can be observed during the hike. Along the way, you can take pictures or just admire the view. One of the highlights of this tour is that Manuel Antonio hosts 3 of the 4 existing tropical primates (monkeys) living in Costa Rica. Half way through the hike, you will enjoy a leisure stop at the world wide famous Third Beach. Once there you can rest on the beach or play with the waves. This stop is about 20 minutes. Throughout the hike is common to see sloths, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees. Your guides are equipped with telescopes, so you can observe wildlife and take pictures from a different perspective. Free morning at leisure to enjoy the hotel. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the Catamaran Sunset Sailing Tour. While touring the coastline, the captain will host the sails (wind permitting) and you will enjoy the feel of the catamaran cutting quietly through the blue waters of the Pacific. The guides will be ready to answer any questions you have while giving a brief history of the area. After touring the coastline, you will anchor in a protected cove within the pristine Biesanz Bay for a snorkeling adventure in the warm Pacific waters. They provide the masks, snorkels and fins, everything you need to dive in and observe the underwater playground for numerous species of colorful tropical fish. Afterwards, you will come back on board and enjoy a delicious cold lunch. You will discover the true meaning of the word paradise as you relax and enjoy the Pura Vida in this beautiful bay surrounded by the lush green landscape and the soothing sounds of the ocean. Depends on the season, you could see different marine life like whales, manta rays, turtles and dolphins. The last leg of the tour is the trip back to the Quepos dock. Read more
