Arrival in Manaus and transfer to your hotel. if your arrival time allows, departure for a city tour of the city of Manaus. Enjoy a tour of about 3 hours in which you will visit the famous Amazonas Theatre built during the rubber era and inaugurated in 1896. This theatre is very inspired by the European style and is now the symbol of Manaus. You will visit the theatre with its superb ceiling, its stage curtain picturing the ‘meeting of the Waters’ and also the entrance hall with its Murano chandeliers, rococo mirrors, and its ceiling on which the fine arts triumph. The visit will also take you to the municipal market where you can see famous Amazonian fish (tambaquis, pirarucus, tucunarés, jaraquis, etc.), regional fruits and local arts and crafts (necklaces made from seeds, basket work, ceramics, calabashes, bows and arrows etc.) Then the vehicle will tour round to show you the other important monuments of the town : Justice Palace, Rio Negro Palace, etc. The Manaus tour terminates at your hotel. Departure from the hotel at 9:30 (possibility to leave a little later). Arrival at the boat, presentation of the crew (captain and cook) and installation in the rooms. Departure of the boat towards the confluence of the Rivers Negro and Solimões. During the trip we discover the floating port and the neighborhoods of houses on piles that line the river.
