Arrive in Georgia - mountain region. Transfer to the hotel (20 km).
City tour of Tbilisi: Metekhi Church, delight with unforgettable panoramic views over the river Mtkvari and the main attractions of Tbilisi old district, Narikala Fortress - the ancient symbol of the city, Sioni built in 6-7th CC, synagogue, the only remaining mosque in Tbilisi, etc. Visit Abanotubani sulfur baths. Departure to Kazbegi. On the way of Kazbegi visit Ananuri Castel with picturesque views over Jinvali Reservoir. Cross the legendary Georgian Military Highway, one of the world’s most beautiful roads, through the valleys, ravines and finally over the 2300 meter Cross Pass. Continue the road to the Truso Valley, hiking (3-4 hours), altitude difference: ↑ ↓ 195 m., unspoiled nature and high mountains offer splendid panoramas. Many springs of mineral water can be found at Truso Valley. Arrive in Kazbegi, village at the foot of Mount Kazbek. Dinner in guesthouse. Total driving distance: 150 km. Read more
In the morning we continue the road following the river Terek to the village Juta (2165 m). This is where we start our trek to cross the Sadzele Pass. Trekking 20 km, 6-7 h, Altitude difference: ↑ 800 ↓ 1000m. Towards the end of the day we arrive at the village Roshka (2000 m) in Khevsureti. Dinner in a local family. Total driving distance: 20 km. Rafting on the river Aragvi – difficulty lever 2-3. The rout is 13 km long and according to the river level 1 hour and 10-20 minutes are needed for rafting. Special training before rafting (15 minutes). Rafting will be conducted by 8-10 seat standard rafting boats. Every boat is accompanied by a qualified instructor. Rafting equipment (helmets, rafting jackets, wetsuits). Departure to Kutaisi, the second city of Georgia, capital of the historic Colchis. Dinner in guesthouse. Total driving distance: 280 km. Departure for Okatse Canyon, hiking, pass 800m long Okatse Bridge overlooking at the bottom of the 50m Canyon. Hiking to the Kinchkha Fall (2 h). Departure for Svaneti, one of the most picturesque mountainous regions of Georgia, known for its watch towers. Arrive in Mestia (1700 m), administrative center of Svaneti, where we have an impressive view of Mount Ushba (4700 m). Dinner in guesthouse. Total driving distance: 280 km. Read more
After breakfast departure to the village Mazeri. Trekking to the Ushba Glacier (4710m) 8 h, 18 km, Altitude difference: ↑ ↓ 1000 m. Return to Mestia. Dinner in guesthouse.
Continue the trip to the village Zhabeshi on foot. Village is located at the confluence of rivers Tviberi and Tsaneri, 1600 m above the sea. Trekking 15-16 km (7 h), Altitude difference: ↑ 760 ↓ 525m. Dinner with local family.
Continue the trekking to the next village Adishi, 6-7h of walking route, 11 km, Altitude difference: ↑ 900 ↓ 530m. Dinner in our guesthouse.
We continue our trekking at the region of Svaneti, we cross the river by horse and continue the road along the river Chkhunieri (2720 m). 18 km, 9-10 hours of walking, Altitude difference: ↑860 ↓ 1070m. Arrive in village Iprali. Dinner in our guesthouse.
Continue to Oushguli - the highest settlement area in Europe. Oushguli is located at the foot of one of the highest peaks of the Caucasus, the Shkhara glacier (5068 m). On the way visit the Queen Tamar tower. Trekking 6h, Altitude difference: ↑ 670 ↓ 435m. Dinner in our guesthouse.
Hiking to the glacier Shkhara (2390m), 5 hours, Altitude difference: ↑ ↓ 100m. On the way visit Lamaria Church. Return back to Mestia by 4x4 car. Dinner in our guesthouse. Total driving distance: 45 km.
Departure to Batumi - seaside city on the Black Sea coast, with attractive European and Asian architecture, churches, cobbled streets, active night and day life, especially during the summer months. Lunch on the way or near the Black sea. Total driving distance: 260 km.
Transfer to airport (5 km), departure.
