On the way of Kutaisi visit Mtskheta - an old capital of Iberia kingdom, visit Jvari (Cross) perched on a hill andoverlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral ("Life-giving column") - 11th. Visit renovated Bagrati Cathedral – symbol of the city and Gelati Monastery Complex - is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Departure for Svaneti – one of the most significant areas for those people who like trekking in an amazing nature, surrounded by 3,000–5,000 meter peaks. Sightseeing of Mestia: Ethnographic museum, famous Svanetian towers, great landscapes and architectural treasures.
Take difficult road by 4x4 car to the village Ushguli - the highest settled place in Georgia. Explore Ushguli located at the foot of glacier Shkhara, the village is recognized by UNESCO.
Visit Lamaria Church, 3-5 hours hiking toward Shkhara Glacier (5,068 m). It is possible to organize horse riding for a little supplement. Return to the center of Svaneti, Metsia.
On the way of Tbilisi visit Prometheus Cave. Karst cave abounds in stalactites and stalagmites decorated with colorful laser lights.
