You will finish your day at Cap Malheureux which is a place of great historical importance for Mauritius and a small fishing village located in the region of Riviere du Rempart District on the northernmost tip of Mauritius. Cap Malheureux offers breathtaking views of some small islands off the coast, such as Flat Island famous for its lighthouse, Gunner’s Coin, Gabriel Island and Round Island.
The visit continues at L’Aventure du Sucre which is situated in the district of Pamplemousses. It is the only museum in Mauritius which is dedicated to the history of sugar. The various steps of sugar production from the fields to the mills and from the finished product shipped to Western markets are exhibited. Sugar Tasting and Industrial Rhum tasting will be waiting for you at the end of your visit.
