Visit Pamplemousses Garden
Start the day and visit Pamplemousses garden, more formally known as Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens, which is one of the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Famous for its long pond of giant water lilies, the garden was first constructed during the French Period. Enjoy a visit of “a château in a natural setting” where the history is beautifully merged with architecture, flora, orchards, cuisine and Mauritian expertise. Enjoy a unique experience of relaxation and discovery at the aquarium of Pointe Aux Piments with its ecological operating systems and new architecture, feel the passion of sea. Read more

North Tour
Start the day at La Citadelle also known as Fort Adelaide which has fulfilled the strategic purpose of guarding the harbor against enemy attacks and fires that broke in the city. Next, walk to the famous central market of Port Louis our Capital and the center of the local economy since Victorian times, is a good place to get a feel for the everyday life of locals. It is also the perfect place for every visitor to put their bargain skills into practice in the Local Souvenir Market. On your way visit China-town. The Chinese have traditionally occupied a quietly industrious position in the life of Port Louis. Here you will see the rich mercantile life of the hard-working Chinese community, the busy Chinese restaurants and groceries. Lunch will be served at Fortune 8 Chinese Restaurant. After lunch enjoy free shopping time at Le Caudan Waterfront, a commercial development in Mauritius. It includes shops, banking facilities, casinos, cinemas, restaurants, a marina and also a covered craft market for those last minute souvenir shopping. Read more

Northen Treasures
Start the day at the Pamplemousses garden, more formally known as Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens, which is one of the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Famous for its long pond of giant water lilies, the garden was first constructed during the French Period. The visit continues at L’Aventure du Sucre which is situated in the district of Pamplemousses. It is the only museum in Mauritius which is dedicated to the history of sugar. The various steps of sugar production from the fields to the mills and from the finished product shipped to Western markets are exhibited. Sugar Tasting and Industrial Rhum tasting will be waiting for you at the end of your visit. Your lunch will be served at Le Fangourin Restaurant situated at the Museum itself. You will finish your day at Cap Malheureux which is a place of great historical importance for Mauritius and a small fishing village located in the region of Riviere du Rempart District on the northernmost tip of Mauritius. Start the tour at the Trou aux Cerfs which is a dormant volcano with a well-defined cone and crater. It is 605 m (1,985 ft) high and located in Curepipe, Mauritius. The crater has been alternately described as 300 and 350 meters in diameter, and is 80 meters deep. Proceed to visit the National History Museum of Mauritius which is like travelling back the memory lane of Mauritius’ colonial history. The Museum housed in the Gheude Castle, a magnificent French colonial mansion built around 1770, is located at Mahébourg on the bank of La Chaux River amidst a luxuriant park of pine trees. Next is the Biscuterie H Rault factory which is located at the evocative historical town of Mahébourg in the south-east part of the island. It started its operations in 1870 and since then the Biscuits Manioc is still very popular, both to Mauritians and tourists alike. The recipe of the biscuit is adapted from a French recipe known as “Galettes Bretonnes. Mahebourg is a traditional Mauritian village situated on the southeastern coast of Mauritius. It is named after Bertrand François Mahé de La Bourdonnais, one of the most successful governors of the French period. The well-planned wide streets in the old section of Mahebourg still bear testimony to the Dutch and French colonial past. Today Mahebourg is a bustling Centre of local trade.
