San Jose Area, 1 night

Early in the morning a shuttle will pick you up to get off to Tortuguero. Tortuguero is a National Park in the Limon Province of Costa Rica. Despite its remote location, it is the third-most visited park in Costa Rica, reached only by airplane or boat. The park has a large variety of biological diversity due to the existence within the reserve of eleven different habitats, including rainforest, mangrove forests, swamps, beaches, and lagoons. Landscapes in Tortuguero are magical and give tourists a chance of living nature in a way few places in the world offer. The tour in Tortuguero ends after lunch in a town called Guápiles. There you will get your car from the car rental and drive to La Fortuna (Arenal) (approx 3 hour drive). It is no coincidence that the Arenal Volcano area is one of the most visited places in the country. On a clear day, you will have the opportunity to admire the majestic colossus. In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, you will visit the Mistico Hanging Bridges where you will take a walk in the forest crossing hanging bridges, which give you a unique chance of being in contact with nature while walking at canopy level of the rainforest, looking for animals and being amazed by the majestic landscapes. After finishing your walk, you will visit La Fortuna Waterfall. La Fortuna

In the morning, after breakfast, at about 8:30 you will go on a horse-riding tour to the River Arenal. A ride that takes you down the mountain and in the forest to get to the river, seeing the forest from a different perspective as you ride on friendly horses and learn a bit how everything moves around. Then you will visit the Arenal National Park where you will have the chance of getting to the lava of the last eruptions and enjoy magnificent views. Read more

La Fortuna

In the morning, once you are ready to leave Arenal, you will be heading for Monteverde (aprox. 3-hours-drive). Set atop the spine of Costa Rica’s continental divide, Monteverde is a world above the coastal towns that dot the country's famous shoreline. It is a place of cloud forests and coffee plantations, monkeys, mist, and friendly locals. The town of Santa Elena is small and quaint, filled with tasty restaurants and folksy artisan shops, while the nearby rainforest hosts a remarkable amount of biodiversity. MONTEVERDE

In the morning you will visit the park and then do canopy at an extreme canopy facility. Your canopy (omega), an activity full of adrenaline and fun, which includes flying like superman, tarzan swing, and other surprises you’d better get there to live them by yourselves. In the evening at 5:30 pm you will do a night tour loaded with sensation from walking in the forest in the dark to seeing life in the night. Read more

Monteverde

In the morning you will head to Manuel Antonio. On the way, like 1 and a ½ hour drive before Manuel Antonio, if you want, you will stop at Tárcoles river to do a 2 hours tour in its waters searching for the different species of birds including the noisy scarlet macaws, the 3 types of mangroves existing in Costa Rica and of course the huge crocodiles that inhabit its waters. After that you will continue your trip to Manuel Antonio which is considered one of the top 25 beaches in the world, and one of the unique places in the world where the rainforest meets the sea. Manuel Antonio, 3 nights

After breakfast, you’ll visit the park taking some time to enjoy the beach inside of it. In the afternoon, at around 12:30 md, you will be picked up to go on a catamaran tour, which takes to you for an unforgettable ride where you will also have the chance of seeing dolphins that come to swim by the boat or if you are lucky enough, you can also have a turtles swimming around and offering a very impressive show. There will always be time to jump from the roof of the boat or slide out of the boat, do snorkel, also Stand up paddles or just cool down at one of the spots where the catamaran anchors to offer a delicious late lunch. In the morning, you will have to get up early, since at about 7:40 a transfer will come to pick you up to go on a rafting tour class 2-3 but with enough action to raise your adrenaline quite up. Manuel Antonio

Not very late in the morning, you’ll leave Manuel Antonio to San Jose, but before arriving, you’ll visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a natural park where you will walk through trails which will take you to the White Magic Waterfall, the most spectacular one in the area. Inside the park you will also visit the largest butterfly observatory in the country that is known as the house of collections of tropical jewels and the impressive hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the old house, etc. Once you have finished your walk, you will take a delicious buffet lunch and then head directly to the Hotel in San Jose.
