This tour takes you past the cobalt Luberon Mountains, along seductive coastlines, past rippling lavender fields and honey-stone hilltop villages that have inspired everyone from Nostradamus to Van Gogh to Picasso. You'll spend a lazy few days in Antibes for the aura of blue heat and bon viveurs, and for the sight of super-yachts lazing off shore. The journey along the coast starts or ends in Marseille and leaves the tourist hordes behind.

DAY 1

Arrive Nice (or Marseille if vice-versa)

Arrival at the Airport (or station) in Nice. Greeting and transfer to centrally located hotel in Nice. After check in we will have you booked in a small group food tour in Nice. make your own way there to meet the group. We will provide a ‘roadbook’ based around your itinerary with all the listings of the best places in Nice to visit, eat, go out and experience. Read more

DAY 2

Along the azur coast to glitzy Monaco

Breakfast. Make your own way to the meeting point for a half day out in Monaco and Eze. In a small group, escorted by english speaking driver/guide you'll experience the scenic splendor of the French Riviera on a 4.5-hour tour of Monaco and Eze. Get a panoramic view of Villefranche, and go to the medieval village of Eze to visit a perfume factory. Drive around the famous Monte Carlo race track, and more. After being dropped back in central Nice, there is only a short walk to your hotel. Read more

The vineyards of the Bellet in 2CV

DAY 4

Up the hill to Arty St Paul de Vence

Breakfast. Private transfer to St Paul de Vence. Drop off bags. Short Private tour in St Paul de Vence – History and Heritage (1 hour long) o Every block of stone in Saint-Paul de Vence has a story to tell: a visit by François I, an inspection by Vauban, or the destiny of the great families that shaped the village, such as the Alziarys and the Bernardis. The walls, the ramparts, the houses and the towers have plenty to say about the village's rich past. We would suggest having lunch somewhere lovely and renowned such as Colombe D’Or. Short Private tour of the Fondation Maeght (1 hour long) o A museum surrounded by nature, exhibiting a collection of modern and contemporary paintings and sculptures. The modern architecture of Josep Lluis Sert surrounds the works of Giacometti, Braque, Chagall, Léger, Calder ... Presentation of the permanent collection. Excursion into the med

Breakfast. Make your own way to the port (DEPARTURE FROM JUAN LES PINS ...) In its hull of glass, near rocks and populated herbaria of posidonies benches of saupes, sars, sea urchins and starfishes, you will discover the wonders of the world of silence in the "bay of the billionaires". On deck, you will admire the splendours of a site of an exceptionaland well preserved beauty, inaccessible by the ground: the point of the Antibes Cape, cliffs of "Eden Rock", and of "bay of the false money", legendary mansions and hotels in the pine forest; doubling shelf of Rascouis and headlight of Ilette towards the western extreme point of the Cape d' Antibes. Antibes and electric bicycles

Breakfast. Explore Antibes and the world famous Cap d'Antibes by renting one beautiful and fun electric bikes for a day. Enjoy cycling in Antibes on the old town,follow the coast along the cap d'antibes, or in the old port passing in front luxurious yachts. All the equipment is provided and a map for you to know where to go and what to see in Antibes. Cycle further to visit other lovely French Riviera cities. Rent an electric bicycle in Antibes for a day. Enjoy riding a bike – it is the cheapest and the most convenient way to move around, besides being ecological and fast. The professional staff will welcome you and will tell you everything about the bikes and the city so you can ride safely. The beach cruisers are very comfortable, light and made of a very good quality. They are being maintained regularly and delivered in a perfect condition. The price includes a bike, a map with the itinerary, a description in English, a lock and a helmet if desired. On request you can also add a basket to your bicycle. Cycle the city of Antibes and the world famous Cap d'Antibes along the sandy beaches, in the old port or in front the old town. Westwards into Provence

Breakfast. Pickup from a private driver/guide and transfer into Provence. Stopover at the fabulous Chateau Lacoste in the Alpilles region. Château La Coste is a vineyard where Wine, Art & Architecture live in harmony. Artists and architects were invited to visit the Domain and discover the beauty of Provence. In turn, they were encouraged to choose a place in the landscape that spoke directly to them and were given the freedom to create a work that would live there. Château La Coste will continue to evolve as new projects and installations are developed. Walk at your leisure through wooded hilltops and valleys, alongside olive groves and vine fields, discovering the many installations of contemporary art on your way. You will have a top wine tasting at the end. Tip : Allow approximately 2 hours to complete the walk. We recommend comfortable footwear. Your driver/guide will walk with you (if you wish) and then following this at the end of the afternoon, drive you the remaining distance to Marseille. Check into your hotel. Read more
