In the morning, we will visit “La Sagrada Familia” (entry included), another amazing work of architecture of Antoni Gaudí. “La Sagrada familia” was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, and celebrated its´135th aniversario en 2017. After, we will leave to go to Girona. Arrival in Girona at noon. Time to have lunch in the locality. In the afternoon, we will take part in a guided tour through the historic city. The tour includes a walk on the old city walls which offer an incredible view over the city and its´ surroundings. The tour among other monuments highlights the cathedral, which was constructed between the 11th and 18th century and offers many different architecture styles. It became even more famous worldwide, when the very famous TV show “Game of Thrones” also filmed some scenes at the cathedral. Dinner at the locality, at a restaurant at the “Plaza de independecia”. In the afternoon, we will take a tour through the historic centre of the city with a local guide as well as walk up to the top of the famous castle of Santa Bárbara, from where you will enjoy an amazing view over the city itself and its marina. The castle, which lies 166 metres above sea level, an asset of Cultural Interest of Alicante, is one of the greatest medieval fortresses of Spain. After the visit to the castle, free time to go shopping, to go to the beach and explore the city by oneself. However, it is possible to book an optional visit to “La Isla de Tabarca”. At the island, one can enjoy coves and beaches and very crystal clear water. It is recommended to enjoy the rice dish “Caldero” for dinner, which is very typical for the island. Return to the hotel.
