After breakfast, we will spend the morning to explore the Coffee Trail of Bolaven Plateau. The coffee expert will come to pick you up at 08:00AM to start the adventure. After 30 minute drive, we will continue onto a dirt road, that can be bumpy, and muddy during the rainy season (from June to October),
which will really make you feel exciting on your jumping jeep (this is the reason why the trail can only be done by a jeep)
We arrive at the coffee farm at around 10:30. Here, you will have around 30 minute tour around the farm with the owner of the farm, Mr. Khamsone. You will learn all the steps of making some different type of coffee (Robusta, Arabia, Typica).
From there, we will trekking though the plantation field with chilly, cabbage, or ginger to the cave where the locals used for refugee in 1973.
We then drive back to Paksong, and stop along the way to enjoy the picnic at Tad Moun Waterfalls (you can also have the picnic lunch at the farm before driving back).
You will arrive back to your hotel at around 14:00. Our jeep tour finishes and we change back to minivan
After that, we will drive to Champasak via Pakse. Along the way, visit Tha Teng colourful ethnic minority food market. Next explore a couple of fascinating minority villages, Ban Bong Neua, an Alak village that boasts a sacrificial altar, and Ban Kokphung, a Katu village where they keep coffins under their houses.
