Drive to Swyambhunath stupa a Buddhist Chaitya said to be more than 2000 years old perched on a hillock 77 meters above the valley floor, offering a bird's eye view of Kathmandu city. Proceed to Patan also known as Lalitpur or the city of fine arts. The tour starts at the Durbar square offering a glimpse of medieval Nepalese architecture.. Transfer to the domestic airport and fly to Bhadrapur (40 minutes). You are met by the tour escort/guide and driven to the India-Nepal border at Kakarvitta. After completing your Visa formalities drive to Kalimpong 140 kms 5 hours approx.
Morning visit Zang Dog Palri Fo Brang Monastery, Tharpa Choling Monastery, Thongsa Gumpa and flower nurseries.In the afternoon drive from Kalimpong to Darjeeling 51 kms 2.5 hours approx.
Early morning visit Tiger Hill and Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast enjoy Joy Ride on World Heritage Toy Train, Darjeeling to Ghoom and back. Afternoon visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(closed on Thursday), Zoological Park(closed on Thursday) and Tibetan Refugee Centre(closed on Sunday).
Drive from Darjeeling to Gangtok 98 kms 4.5 hours approx.
Full day sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Rumtek Monastery, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays) and Enchey Monastery.
Very early morning drive from Gangtok to Bhadrapur 165 kms 6 hours approx. Complete visa formalities at the India-Nepal border and fly from Bhadrapur airport to Kathmandu.
The morning is free for you to rest after the hectic drive from Gangtok. In the afternoon tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhnath.
Free till your time of transfer to the airport to connect your onward flight.
