Today we stay all day in Cordoba. First thing in the morning, after breakfast, will be the visit to one of the most iconic patios (private family courtyards) in town located in the San Basilio neighborhood. Afterwards, we will move into the city center for our gastronomical experience at the Victoria
Market food court. The activity will start with a visit to the market where you will pick the fresh products to cook with: a hands-on cooking class with a local chef who will teach you how to prepare some of the most classic and traditional dishes from Cordoba: Salmorejo (Cold tomato cream), Berenjenas a la miel (fried aurbergines with honey) and Rabo de toro (Ox tail stew). While cooking, you will discover the age-old Roman, Christian, Jewish and Moorish influences behind the local cuisine.
This morning of adventure ends with you enjoying the food you have prepared, paired with local wines, in a very friendly and casual atmosphere!
Your art historian guide will meet you at the Victoria Market for an introductory walking tour of aprx 2:30h to discover the main sites of the Unesco listed city of Cordoba (the Mosque/Cathedral, the Jewish quarter, the Sinagogue and the Royal Alcazar/Palace).
After the guided tour, you can spend a couple of hours resting back at your hotel before getting ready for a traditional tapas dinner within the Jewish quarter
