After Breakfast, drive to Paro and check in Tashi Namgay Resort. Visit Ta-Dzong the national museum and visit Ringpung Dzong built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal the founder of Drukyul (Bhutan). Then walk down the stone foot path to cross over the traditional cantilever bridge. OR Visit Kitchu Monastery - the oldest monastery in Bhutan. In the evening witness cultural program at resort ( cultural program can be organized by company with extra payment of US$ 80). Early Breakfast and Hike to Taktshang (Tiger nest) built in 1684 by the 4th Desi, Gyeltshen Tenzin Rabgye. The monastery is built on a steep cliff at about 1000ft above Paro valley. A place is believed to be the birthplace of Buddhism in Bhutan. The monastery is most sacred site of all Buddhism and must visit cultural site in Bhutan. To view the monastery, you will hike along a trail that climbs through a dense pine forest and fluttering prayer flags. After a light refreshments and rest stop along the way, continue hiking until you enter the magnificent 17th century monastery. You will be hosted a simple lunch at Taktshang Cafeteria. After lunch hike done to base and drive back to resort. Here you can try Bhutanese traditional archery and enjoy the traditional hot stone bath ( both are self payment).
