Paro Arrival Transfer to Thimphu

You will be welcomed at Paro International airport by our guide and driver with traditional way of welcoming our Guest. Then will visit Ta Dzong (Watch tower) which is our National Museum registered under UNESCO world heritage. Then will visit Paro RIngpung Dzong. After breakfast will visit National Memorial Chorten constructed by Second Queen Ashi Phuntsho Choden in the name of Her Late Son Third Monarch of Bhutan Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Then will visit Weaving Center where you will see the women of Bhutan weaving the clothes with Traditional Hand loom and Paddle Loom, followed by Buddha Point, where you will see 169 feet tall sitting Buddha over looking Thimphu City. Thimphu to Gangtey

Today after breakfast will drive to Gangtey vai Dochula pass (3100 meters) . On reaching Dochula will stop for the view of eastern Himalayas if the weather is fine. Then will continue to Gangtey. Will have lunch on the way. Is here where the Black Neck Crane which is a rare species bird in the world visit in winter every year from Tibet in the month of November to end of March. The day's visit with Jambay Lhakhang, which is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century, Kurjey Lhakhang, is named after the body print of Guru Rinpoche, Tamshing Lhakhang which was established by Terton Pema Lingpa in 1501 and is the most important Nyingma Goenba in the country. After lunch we will visit Jakar Dzong, castle of the white bird, Mebertsho (Burning Lake) - This is a very scared lake for Bhutanese people. Bumthang to Trongsa

After breakfast will drive to Trongsa. On way will stop at Chumey to see the yatra, the woolen clothes. Then will drive to Trongsa. Punakha to Paro

After breakfast will visit Sangchen Dorji Lhundrup Nunnery at Wolakha from where you will have a very good view of the villages around. Then will will drive towards Wangduephodrang and on the way will visit Chimi Lhakhang which was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley in 15th century (This monk is popularly known as the Devine madman for his philosophy, “Salvation through sex”). He subdued the demons with his “Magical Thunder bolt”. The Temple is also known as “The Temple of Fertility”. And it is a short hike through the paddy fields. Hike to Taktshang/Tigers Nest

Today will have a day hike to the sacred Taktsang Goenpa (tiger nest monastery) which was built on the rock face at 900 meters above the valley floor. The history says guru Rinphoche during his second visit to Bhutan in 8th century have flew to the place riding on a tigress to subdue demon Singye Samdrup and meditated here for three months. Later temporary ruler of Bhutan GyalsheTenzin Rabgay has built monastery in 16 century. It one of the most highlighted holy site of the tourist as well it is a place where Bhutanese people believe they must visit once in their life time.   • We do have mainly 2 seasons, lean season (Dec, Jan, Feb, June, July and August) and Peak season (Sep, Oct, Nov, March, April and May). So we have the same price for all the months of lean season and same price for all months in peak season. And if you travel in peak season the weather is very favorable as it will be not so cold and not so hot too with minimal rainfall.
  • We can also arrange the hotels or Resorts of your choice too. And when it comes to standard and comfort one its fine, but when it comes to luxury resort the cost will vary with the hotel/resorts that you choose. And the single supplement is chargeable for those who are travelling in group.
