Day 2: Managua - León
Breakfast. On your second day you will be transferred to the beautiful colonial city of León, where we will explore the rich cultural and political history of one of the oldest and most influential cities in Nicaragua. Defined for its elegant Spanish colonial architecture and
fascinating political history. The best way to explore this fascinating city is walking, as much of its charm lies in the narrow colonial streets, museums, restaurants and cafes. In this guided tour on foot you will visit the revolutionary murals, baroque and neoclassical churches and a surprisingly interesting museum of legends, arts and poetry, we will visit the cathedral of Leon, its churches: Calvary, Harvest, Merced, Zaragoza and Subtiaba; The Rubén Darío Museum, and the Museum of Myths and Legends.
After lunch we will do the famous Tour Flor de Caña Rum, the premium rum in Central America that has been awarded the best rum in the world in recognized international competitions in London, San Francisco and Chicago. Rum Flor de Caña is today the # 1 exported brand in Nicaragua, with a presence in more than 40 countries worldwide, and one of the fastest growing premium rums in the United States.
In the evening you will visit the Reef Bar & Lounge to enjoy the atmosphere of the place. (Self-consumption expenditure). Overtnight in León.

The center with its colonial buildings, beautiful churches and the cathedral that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are just some of the many attractions of León. If you want to cool off you can head to the nearby beaches of Poneloya and Las Peñitas. Cultural enthusiasts can visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Leon, where the city was originally founded, while those who enjoy hiking can go to one of the many volcanoes in the surrounding area. One of the most popular attractions is the boarding volcano in Cerro Negro.
