An extinct volcano, elongated coasts on Lake Cocibolca (Lake Nicaragua), an archipelago and Granada the oldest city in the country, which still preserves original historic colonial center, are some of the attractions. The city of Granada is one of the most important and most visited destinations in Nicaragua. Unique experiences!!!
Day 1: Managua Airport - Managua Welcome to Nicaragua, land of lakes and volcanoes! Once you arrive at Managua International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, dinner and tour of the main streets of the city. Overnight in Managua. Managua is the capital of Nicaragua, home to almost two million inhabitants and is easily the largest city in Nicaragua. The city has much to offer its visitors: theaters, restaurants, bars and cinemas. In the Roberto Huembes market, you can experience an authentic Nicaraguan street market and buy some souvenirs and crafts. Also, you can enjoy the views of the Tiscapa Lagoon (of volcanic origin) where you can do a canopy tour. Just outside of Managua, the Montibelli natural reserve, as well you can find the reserve of birds and butterflies El Chocoyero. In addition, Pochomil and Montelimar beaches located just an hour away from the city. Read more
Day 2: Managua - León Breakfast. On your second day you will be transferred to the beautiful colonial city of León, where we will explore the rich cultural and political history of one of the oldest and most influential cities in Nicaragua. Defined for its elegant Spanish colonial architecture and fascinating political history. The best way to explore this fascinating city is walking, as much of its charm lies in the narrow colonial streets, museums, restaurants and cafes. In this guided tour on foot you will visit the revolutionary murals, baroque and neoclassical churches and a surprisingly interesting museum of legends, arts and poetry, we will visit the cathedral of Leon, its churches: Calvary, Harvest, Merced, Zaragoza and Subtiaba; The Rubén Darío Museum, and the Museum of Myths and Legends. After lunch we will do the famous Tour Flor de Caña Rum, the premium rum in Central America that has been awarded the best rum in the world in recognized international competitions in London, San Francisco and Chicago. Rum Flor de Caña is today the # 1 exported brand in Nicaragua, with a presence in more than 40 countries worldwide, and one of the fastest growing premium rums in the United States. In the evening you will visit the Reef Bar & Lounge to enjoy the atmosphere of the place. (Self-consumption expenditure). Overtnight in León. Information about the destination: Leon The city of León is a historic cultural city with an authentic atmosphere where visitors can easily connect with the locals. León offers a quiet, relaxed and friendly atmosphere that comes to life at night due to the large student population of the city. In the evenings you can enjoy parties, live music, folk performances and much more. The center with its colonial buildings, beautiful churches and the cathedral that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are just some of the many attractions of León. If you want to cool off you can head to the nearby beaches of Poneloya and Las Peñitas. Cultural enthusiasts can visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Leon, where the city was originally founded, while those who enjoy hiking can go to one of the many volcanoes in the surrounding area. Day 3: León - Masaya - Granada Breakfast. Departure at 7:30 am to the Masaya Volcano National Park, where we will observe the volcanic activity of the San Fernando crater. We will also have the opportunity to visit its museum. We continue our journey towards the picturesque Pueblos blancos, a set of sites full of culture, in which we will visit the craft workshops where we will observe the manufacture of these works and we will be able to buy some sourvenirs. We continue towards the city of Granada. Then we will take a boat tour in Lake Cocibolca, which is located a short distance from the city and forms an archipelago of more than 360 small islands of varied size of easy access and are a paradisiacal tourist attraction. In the evening night out to discover the nightlife of La Calzada, famous street full of restaurants and bars, where you will enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. (Self-consumption expenditure). Overnight in Granada. Information about the destination: Granada Granada was founded in 1524 and is the second oldest city established in Latin America by the Spanish conquest. Today, Granada is characterized by its brilliant Spanish colonial architecture, visible throughout the center of the city. The atmosphere is very pleasant and there is a wide range of popular restaurants and bars, especially along the boulevard from the central park to the shores of Lake Nicaragua. While the city itself it is already an impressive attraction, the immediate surroundings make of Granada a place where you will want to spend a couple of days. Read more
Day 4 and 5: Granada - San Juan del Sur Breakfast. In the morning transfer to the most famous beach of Nicaragua, the bay of San Juan del Sur, its bay surrounded by restaurants, bars and showy infrastructure that is combined with its picturesque village and extensive hotel infrastructure. Reference point for all the tourists that visit our country, city with human warmth to the visitor and the diverse activities that can be realized in this famous beach. Free time. 2 nights’ accommodation in San Juan del Sur. Information about the destination: San Juan del Sur This beach is an almost perfect 'u' shaped bay, surrounded by mountains. In this was established the town of San Juan del Sur, making it one of the most attractive in the country. Its sand is not white as in the Caribbean, but clearer than in the rest of the Pacific. Boat tour to visit neighbor beaches, sport fishing, diving, marine photography, whale watching, canopy tour in the mountainous surroundings, and active nightlife are some of the activities that can be done. Day 6: San Juan del Sur - Managua Breakfast. In the afternoon transfer back to the city of Managua. Time to rest. Overnight in Managua.
Goodbye Nicaragua! Breakfast. Airport transfer. End of our services. Flight from Managua Airport International Upon arrival at the Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport in Managua, head to the check-in counter. Pass through security and forward to your door and outgoing international flight. If your departure tax is not included in your ticket, you have to pay US$42.00 per ticket. Facilities at the airport includes a bank, restaurants, bars, post office, souvenir shops, duty free shops and a VIP lounge. Read more
