In the morning, drive to Simien Mountains National Park. Our vehicle drop you off inside the park at Chequanit area and begin your first trekking (Walk up and down ward on little sloppy field approx. 3- 4 hours/6km) through cultivated areas. Here, you will have a chance to see the group of the Endemic animal, Gelada Baboons in a close distance. Overnight stay will be camping. Read more
Trekking for about 6 to 7 hours to Geech through meadows and forests and some cultivated areas. Here you may meet your first trop of Gelada Baboons around Sanka ber. Hike downward and then walk upward and walk through up and down fields. The trek takes about 5 to 6 hours. Here you will pass a spot known as Kibran Metia, just before arrival to Chenek; it provides stunning views of the lowlands below and the escarpment edge to the west. There is a fast running stream about five minutes walk south of Chenek camp. Lammergeyers are often seen here. Chenek is probably the best spot in the Simien Mountains for wild life. Hike steeply upwards to the summit and then walk little escarp area for about 9 to 10 hours following a track that leads you to the south east of Chenek. Here you will have a good viewpoint on the eastern escarpment near the Ambikwo camping spot. Overnight stay will be camping
In the morning hike up to the top highest peak of Ras Dashen for about 8 to 9 hours, the highest point in the country with an altitude of 4533l and not difficult to climb. Then trek back to Ambiko and overnight camping
Hike up and down escarpments for about 7 to 8 hours from Ambiko to Chennek overnight camping.
After breakfast, after packing all camping and cooking equipment, our vehicle will come and pick you from there and then drive back to Gondar. Late afternoon you will be free time to refresh yourself. Overnight in hotel
Morning, transfer in to airport to fly back to Addis Ababa. In the afternoon, you will have leisure and shopping time. In the evening, farewell traditional dinner in one of the best restaurant in Addis followed by folkloric dance of different Ethiopian nations.
