Your adventure starts in the early morning hours when your English speaking local guide will pick you up and bring you to the city of Turrialba, home of prestigious Pacuare River. On the way you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Irazu and Turrialba Volcanoes and have breakfast at a local restaurant. After a short trip down the winding gravel road of the River Canyon you will arrive at the put in point where you will receive your safety gear and instructions. Your 14 mile adrenaline rush through one of Costa Rica's most impressive primary rain forests begins. You will paddle through densely vegetated gorges, enjoy cascading waterfalls, relax in serene pools and experience pounding world class 3-4 rapids. After a cold lunch break at the river banks in midst of tropical paradise you will experience the best adrenaline packed afternoon of your life running down the Pacuare’s biggest class IV rapids. Finally, you will reach the put out point and a short walk brings you to the Operations Center offering warm showers and optional drinks to soothe your soul.
