You will be warmed welcomed by our local bird ranger/ guide, he/ she will give introduction about migration of birds and then start to walk in the rice field to see some species of water birds and countryside birds such as; Asian Openbill, Spot-billed Pelican, Spot-billed Duck, Darter, Black-winged Stilts, , little cormorant, Common Moorhen, cotton Pygmy-goose, Lesser Whistling duck, spot billed duck, little grebe, Grey Heron, Purple Heron, Javan Pond Heron, little egret, intermediate egret, great egret, Bronze-winged Jacana, watercock and etc. The Tour will end at 78 Dam behind Chreav village. Afternoon time, we take short walk along the road in front of the King’s Residence to see the Main Shrine, where the local people usually worship, with its statue of Yeay Teap, Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chorm. Buying jasmine and lotus flowers to worship is very important for the Cambodians. Continue visit to Wat Thmey or Killing Field, contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. Breakfast at hotel: Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. Breakfast at hotel, today we visit Independence Monument. From here we enjoy cyclo ride to the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. Afternoon, we continue to visit the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures - throughout the ages. Breakfast at hotel, we visit the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia's bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek, commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle. Afternoon, enjoy one hour cruise on the Mekong River. I visited Angkor Wat with my wife. We took two nights and three days tour. Everything was good, tasty food and so on. Though I expect that our driver will be partly our guide and tell us something interesting about this country, but that did not happen, and the road was boring..

I went to Siem Reap and took 2 days tuk-tuk tour organized by Angkor Travel Plus with my friend. It was very memorable holidays. We were picked from our hotel promptly and the tuk-tuk driver (Mr. Cheat) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the holiday's spots. He was very patient as well. Angkor Wat is indeed very amazing heritage that has to be preserved by not only Cambodian but other as well. Never know that some part of the city has been modernized through such as pub street and surrounding area. Read more
