Arrival at Augusto Sandino International Airport in Managua, Nicaragua. Your driver will be waiting to take you to the beautiful colonial city of Granada.
Granada is located on the shores of Lake Nicaragua where the islets formed after the eruption of Mombacho Volcano located south of the city.
Granada is one of the most visited cities due to how well preserved are the colonial buildings and adobe houses with charming courtyards.
You will depart after breakfast to Costa Rica, specifically to the area of Monteverde Cloud Forest located near the village of Santa Elena. This area protects the region’s biodiversity and water sources that supply several rivers in the country.
You will have time to explore Monteverde where, among other activities, you can get a bird-like perspective of the forest canopy through the hanging bridges or venturing on the zip lines.
Departure during the morning to the surroundings of the Arenal Volcano National Park and the colorful town of La Fortuna. The transportation itself is an adventure as it combines a drive on the mountain’s backroad with an hour boat ride across the Arenal Lake.
The area features hot springs spas and you will have plenty of time to enjoy activities such as hikes on hanging bridges, to La Fortuna Waterfall or the National Park, whitewater rafting, zip lines or horseback rides among others or just enjoy the amazing views from the pool of the hotel.
Early in the morning after a fresh cup of coffee one of our drivers will arrive to take you El Ceibo restaurant where you will enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast and meet with the personnel of the lodge in Tortuguero to continue your trip to the destination. The Tortuguero National Park is one of the most famous of Costa Rica, accessible only by plane (with an extra fee) or by boat which is recommendable as along the way you will be able to spot the great biological diversity of the area. Green turtles nest on the beaches of Tortuguero from July to October but throughout the year you can see the variety of wildlife that exists in the area by taking park of the activities already included in the package.
Located near the border with Panama, in the southern Caribbean coast, Puerto Viejo is an ideal place to enjoy multicolored sand beaches, it is surrounded by the Cahuita National Park to the south and the Gandoca Reserve Manzanillo to the north, activities such as hiking, snorkeling, biking and horseback riding are available. One of our representatives in the area will arrive at the hotel to take you to the boarding docks in the Panamanian side where you will take a relaxing one hour and a half ride to the archipelago of Bocas del Toro in Panama.
Bocas del Toro is made up of about 6 large islands and many smaller ones, Isla Colon being where most of the activity is concentrated; you can find small hotels with Caribbean influence.
We will drive you to Bocas del Toro local airstrip to take a local flight to Panama City and finally a short drive to your hotel.
Panama has a wide range of activities and its beautiful architecture stands out in the area, from the modern and contemporary to the Old Town part.
Days at leisure, we recommend you to visit the ruins of Panama Viejo, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the famous Panama Canal and its locks, take one of the many shopping tours or visit one of the nearby beaches.
We will drive you to the Tocumen International Airport according to your flight schedule.
