Departure at your expense to the airport of departure. Check-in formalities and flight to Luang Prabang. Dinner and night on board.

LUANG PRABANG WELCOME

Breakfast on board. Arrival to Luang Prabang airport. Welcome by your English speaking tour-guide and transfer to the city.Lunch at local restaurant. Visit of Wat Xienthong temple, probably the most beautiful of the city, built in the 16th century. Then you will visit Wat Aham and Wat Aham temples, the two oldest temple in the city. Following by the stupa Melon located down Phousi Mount, emblematic hill of the town. Enjoying sunset atop the Mount and visiting the temple on the top. DAY 3

LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU - LUANG PRABANG

Breakfast at the hotel. Walk around in a local market full of regional products and visit the former Royal Palace.Devoted day to visit sacred caves of Pak Ou.Embarking on a boat heading to the caves located 32 km upstream. On the way you will stop at a village which produce local whiskey. You will observe the distillation of Lao Lau, local rice alcohol. Visit Wat Wat and Longkhoun Chomphet temples which are among the oldest temples in the city. Pursuit of the cruise and arrival to the caves, holding more than a thousand images of Buddha. Lunch at a local restaurant.Way back to Luang Prabang by road with a stop at the village of Ban Xangkhong known for its weaving workshop and then stop in Mulberry village specialized in printing. LUANG PRABANG - KUANG SI - LUANG PRABANG

Very early in the morning head to the city center to watch the Buddhist monks collect offerings from local people.After the ceremony, transfer to your hotel for the breakfast. Road to the Kuang Si Waterfalls through the authentic Laotian countryside with a stop at the village of Ban Naouan populated by Hmong ethnic minority, warm and friendly meetings with inhabitants.Lunch at local restaurant near the falls. Free time to admire the beautiful waterfalls and take a swim in the natural pool formed by the falls. At the end of the afternoon way back to Luang Prabang. Dinner at a local restaurant. LUANG PRABANG - flight HANOI

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi.Arrival in Hanoi. At the airport welcome by your English speaking guide and transfer to the city. Sightseeing around Ba Dinh square. The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum from outside, Stalinist style mausoleum constructed between 1973 and 1975 still holding the remains of the Vietnamese leader.The one pillar Pagoda famous for its original construction entirely in teak emerging from a pound. Late afternoon walking tour around the old quarter, best way to feel the soul of the city. The Opera colonial style building built in 1910, a real masterpiece of architecture. The Ly Thai To park and its imposing bronze statue of the Vietnamese king who created Hanoi and gave his name to the park. Rickshaw tour around the old quarter, you will dive into the craziness of Hanoian traffic, perfect way to get to know the city better and the daily life of its inhabitants.The Hoan Kiem lake, the city’s landmark holding the Ngoc Son temple and the The Huc Bridge.This tour will end in a magnificent colonial style house where you will be enjoying a welcome dinner. HANOI - NINH BINH - HANOI

Breakfast at the hotel. Road to Ninh Binh, also known as the Halong Bay on land. Beautiful countryside road where authentic life can be observed.Boarding on a small boat to a stroll in the magnificent rice fields. The site chosen for you is "Thung Nang" it is still preserved and not as visited as other sites in the area. Bike ride or walk on the way to the village with superb karstic mountains landscapes. HANOI - HOA BINH - HANOI

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Hoa Binh through fascinating landscapes: cassava fields, tea plantations, rice fields... Arrival at destination, and installation in a wooden house on stilts of the Muong ethnic group. Bike ride or walk in Muong villages to explore their environment and their daily life. HANOI - HALONG BAY

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Ha Long and its world famous bay. Boarding the junk to start your cruise. Seafood lunch while the junk sails between islands and islets. Explore the Cave Thien Canh Son, one of the most beautiful caves in the bay. Relaxation on the sandy beach of the island Hon Co. Back to the junk. Relaxing time to contemplate the sunset on the top deck. Introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. Seafood dinner on board. HALONG BAY - HANOI

The sunrise is the best time to photograph Halong Bay and also for taking part in a Tai Chi course on the deck in a natural environment of the bay. Breakfast on board. Board small boat to discover the fishermen floating villages, you will see small schools, houses, health posts... Brunch on board while sailing back to the pier throughout the magnificent karstic stones. Landing manoeuvres of the junk. Les plus : Le voyage c'est aussi ceux qui vous permettent de comprendre le pays et les gens avec lesquels vous êtes. De ce point de vue notre guide et notre chauffeur ont été parfaits. Nous avons aimé les grandes 'balades' dans la nature, les rencontres avec les habitants dans les villages, les superbes paysages. La ville de Sapa, comme hors du temps, entre Annecy et Shangri Là. La balade sur le lac Thac Ba a été un vrai bonheur. Fruit d'un barrage hydraulique, le lac est d'une grande beauté avec ses ilots plantés et ses pêcheurs. Dépêchez vous d'y aller avant qu'il ne devienne aussi fréquenté d'Halong ! La baie d'Halong terrestre est également un beau souvenir, plus calme que la baie maritime et très impressionnante aussi. Villages sympa. Les moins : Les distances ne sont pas très grandes dans le nord, mais le temps pour les parcourir est très grand : 5 heures pour 130 km ! Des routes très difficiles et pas mal de fatigue. Heureusement voiture climatisée ;-) La baie d'Halong restera un souvenir un peu mitigé : que des bateaux touristiques, aucune jonque et peu de pêcheurs. Heureusement nous avons eu un très beau temps et un beau coucher (et lever) de soleil. La navigation au petit matin est plus belle que celle du soir. Elle est moins encombrée. Nous avions emmené des petits cadeaux pour les populations rencontrées mais nous ne nous sommes pas sentis heureux de distribuer ainsi. Nous ne sommes pas certains que cela soit agréable pour les gens. Commentaire : 15 jours au départ d'Hanoi vers les montagnes et Sapa et retour par la baie d'Halong maritime puis la terrestre. Nous avons aimé les grandes 'balades' dans la nature, les rencontres avec les habitants dans les villages, les superbes paysages. Nous avons eu la chance de participer à une fête dans un village. Nous avons dansé autour du feu et sauté en rythme au dessus des bambous. C'était gai et bon enfant. La balade sur le lac Thac Ba a été un vrai bonheur. Les plus : Ce que nous avons le plus aimé sont les paysages magnifiques et variés, la gentillesses des habitants, Les moins : Le moins serait peut-être la chaleur et la sur-fréquentation de la baie d'Halong. Commentaire : Pour nous il s'est agi d'un dépaysement total et s'est ce que nous en attendions. Nous avons été conquis par ce pays où les paysages sont grandioses, les habitants d'une gentillesse naturelle. Même si la vie est complètement différente de ce que l'on connaît en France, on s'y sent tout de suite très bien et sans aucun sentiment d'insécurité, bien au contraire. Quant à l'organisation, tout a été parfait et le programme établi a été respecté à la lettre, il faut dire que notre interlocuteur sur place, Quynh Anh, est extraordinaire, d'ailleurs nous avons souhaité la rencontrer en personne pour la remercier.
