Hue city tour

The Express Train take us to Hue city at Midday, our driver pick you up and transfer to Hotel for breakfast . Following to breakfast, you will fix the bike and cycle leisurely to explore Hue city and citadel and royal to Imperial Citadel and & tomb Architecture Hue is one of the main cultural, religious and educational centers of Vietnam. So far, Hue remains to be the only originally historical vestige city in Vietnam. Many of Hue’s attractions are found along the banks of the romantically named Perfume River with 11km length. This valuable construction includes more than 100 architectural works, which are the reflection of the life of Emperors and mandarins under Nguyen’s reign. Architecture in Hue is the combination of royal architect, folk, religious ones, traditional and modern sides. On December 11th, 1993, it was classified by UNESCO as the world cultural heritage. On the north bank of the river is the Imperial Citadel, built along the line of Peking’s Forbidden City, enclosed by 10-metre thick walls and surrounded by a moat. A few kilometers further up the river are perhaps Hue’s best-known religious site. Inside the citadel, there are still wonders. For example, the seat of the Nguyen emperors occupying a large, walled area on the north side of the river. Inside the citadel was a forbidden city where only the concubines, emperors, and those close enough to them were granted access, the punishment for trespassing was death penalty. We also ride to visit to the tombs of ancient Kings. Situated in the middle of the hills on the Southern bank of Perfume River are very beautiful tombs of Nguyen Kings. Among these tombs are the four famous ones with the name and the arrangements of the tomb reflecting each Emperor’s points of view, personality, and tastes. This is majestic Gia Long tomb, imposing Minh Mang tomb, poetic Tu Duc tomb and magnificent Khai Dinh tomb. No architects who would like to discover ancient architecture of Vietnam could ignore Hue’s old citadel vestiges. I have been on several trips before but I rate this one the best ever. It was well run the hotels and guest houses were clean and very welcoming. Vietnam has to be one of the cheapest places to visit in the world, the food was great and the beer is cheaper than water. The people are the most friendliest I’ve ever met and the women are the prettiest. The views were spectacular and the cycling was hard but we all made it. I’m now looking forward to my next trip with IET Bike Tours to Laos. Read more

We had a wonderful holiday in Vietnam with your Tour "Hanoi to Saigon". We found the tour well balanced which allowed us to cycle through spectacular rural scenery and to experience the adventure of dealing with the urban traffic in the major cities. To experience the culture and learn of the history of Vietnam from the grass roots perspective on a bicycle was truly an experience that we will never forget. It is difficult to name a section of the tour that stands out because it was the whole experience put together that was special. The 24hrs sailing on Halong Bay was amazing, the experience of Dalat and the Central Highlands was great and the coastal areas had their own touch of beauty. The accommodation provided was of a very high standard and better than expected. The food provided certainly provided us with a broad taste of the local cuisine. We wanted to make special mention of Tuyen who was a fantastic guide and certainly showed his obvious experience . He not only had an extensive knowledge of the local customs and history but he also displayed excellent people skills and always had the interest and the safety of those of us on his tour foremost in his thoughts. From the moment he met us at the airport, we felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed all the days we had with him as our guide! All Drivers were excellent in the provision of their services to the tour. Dzung, we also felt privileged to have you on the tour with us. We appreciated your assistance (particularly Tuyen who benefited from your help when climbing the mountains!) and your attention to detail in making sure all of our needs were being met throughout the tour. Over all, we congratulate you on the excellent tour services that you provide and we hope that our circumstances in the future will allow us the opportunity to take part in one of your other tours. Best Wishes. Read more

Dear Tru, We are now back to Australia-and quite sad we had to return. Our dreams are still full of bikes beeping, of food and incense smells, of of still rivers and majestic mountains and of all the smiles we were given in the past 3 weeks by the beautiful Vietnamese people. We would like to thank you personally for your kindness, patience and support over our holidays. The small chaos we experienced with the hotels did in no way diminished the wonderful holidays we had and was a small discomfort with comparison to the great holiday we had. I will probably go in your records as a "grumpy traveller -and couldn¹t blame you for this, although I guess we were just unlucky we the proximate noise in some hotels! Vietnam is a country we will not forget and will always keep close to heart. Most importantly, we will cherish all our encounters with the Vietnamese people, whose resilience, kindness, gentleness, respectfulness and patience is an inspiration for all westerners. We have learnt a great deal from the people of Vietnam in general and from all those we have met along the way indeed. Particularly, we won't forget Ms Lan, Mr Chin, Mr Vinh, Mr Wu and Mr Tanh (and all our drivers) who have made our holidays a journey through wonder, beauty, timelessness, enjoyment and great learning. Indeed we have learnt from all our guides and we have treasured their company and our conversations, both casual and educational. Additionally we have learnt through the people of Vietnam, through our encounters and our observation that life -as we know it in our Western countries - can happen more harmoniously in different ways, with more humility and respect of others and nature. Briefly our journey through Vietnam will make us (one would hope) better people, more humble, more patient, more grateful and less complaining (this last one for me particularly...). Just one little thing perhaps: we would have preferred being taken to more modest but perhaps more traditional Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. Perhaps travellers could be given a choice every day of places they could have lunch. We will however remember the Secret Garden in Hoi An and the Mekong Delta restaurant we were taken to as restaurant of excellent cuisine quality. Also we had the pleasure to see A O show in Saigon. It was wonderful. I would highly recommend it to your clients (if they are finishing their journey). Thank you again for all your time and patience. We will definitely be in touch with you should we decide to pass by Vietnam again in the future. Kind Regards and best wishes to you and your family. Read more
