Visitors will also have a grand view of the valley from this spot. Swayambhunath Stupa, which is considered one of the most imposing stupas in the world, rises high. One can reach the stupa by going up about 400 steep stone steps. The four sides of the stupa depict Buddha’s eyes of wisdom, which see through all existences. The third eye is the symbol of Buddha’s insight. In the location where the nose would be, Nepalese numeral “one” which expresses “harmony” is depicted. The 13-tier spire part symbolizes the 13 stages to enlightenment, and the tip has a golden umbrella which represents nirvana. The flags coming out of the spire each has sutras written on them. Dear Shikher, Anil and all your team I wanted to sincerely thank you for your amazing support and understanding whilst I organized the Habitat Team, especially during the time I had to fly to the U.K. for my Fathers illness and funeral. Your professionalism and helpfulness were outstanding, and it was a pleasure to work with you on this project. To date I have had a few phone calls from Team Members to say how amazing their Tours were, as well as the Sherpas/Guides. Carol deHaas also mentioned how great you were when she broke her ankle and how you helped her with the hospital visit. I know that all the Team Members will have had an amazing experience and that will come down to the way your run your business and the high work ethic in which you strive for. I only wish that all the Tour Operators I deal with were as fantastic as Natraj Trekking. Read more
