In this tour you will experience a true and genuine safari. It will be strenuous but worth the travel. This tour will focus on the Serengeti National Park, tracing the world famous Great Migration between the South-Eastern parts to the North-Western side of Serengeti. However, you will get a chance to see the beauty of the Lake Manyara, the depth of the historical Ngorongoro Crater, highlighting the beauty of nature in its natural setting. Expect to see Wildebeest grazing in the Serengeti Savannah, Rhino and Buffaloes in the Crater, elegant Giraffes and Pink Flamingos at Lake Manyara amongst other wild animals like Zebras, Gazelles, Cheetahs, and most sought after Lions in the hunt. This trip will keep you excited everyday as you take in the culture of the Maasai and locals living nearby these parks, without forgetting the beautiful green scenery that seems endless. If not the predators hunting or resting and playing with their young ones, then you will enjoy seeing the playful Monkeys or Baboons jumping from tree to tree, crossing paths with Elephants on the unpaved roads. True African adventure awaits your arrival.

ITINERARY

ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival. you will be picked up from the airport, meet your driver and drive to your lodge in Arusha town, about one hour drive. Overnight and prepare for the next day safari.

Arusha, 1 Night

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Your driver will come pick you up around 8am for an early drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, for a morning game drive. At the park expect to see an array of colorful birds, sounds of monkeys and birds making music in the air, sighting a fast pacing Warthog on the side of the tracks, and even Elephants with their family crossing the road quietly. Your guide will stop by hot springs picnic site for lunch, then we finish with a game drive as we exit the park and drive up the Great Rift Valley for dinner and overnight at your lodge. Read more

Lake Eyasi, 1 Night

LAKE EYASI - SERENGETI

Today we rise early and set off to visit and see one of Africa’s true bush-men, one not so often mentioned, the Hadzabe. They are few of the last surviving hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. Our visit will let us see their way of life and culture, before we return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, we set off for the Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Tanzania’s and most popular national park, where we take an afternoon game drive. We will have picnic lunch and continue our game drive towards the evening and retreat at our camp for dinner and overnight. Read more

SERENGETI SAVANNAH

After a goodnight's sleep, we rise early morning for breakfast and we continue with more game drives towards Northern and Central Serengeti, we follow the migration, and we get to see the interesting Wildebeest families with the friendly Zebra, Gazelle. Expect to see Lions getting ready for their hunts, Cheetahs stretching, Giraffes galantly trotting. We might see some action when Lions hunt or Wild dogs playing about. Early morning we start drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area enjoying the en-route game drive; have our lunch at a picnic site. Later we head to our camp and have dinner and overnight.

NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast we head out and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, where lies all these beautiful flora and fauna and animals that are indigenous to the crater since formation hundreds of years ago. We find a nice picnic site and enjoy our lunch on site while relaxing and stretching our legs. After lunch we finish our day with game viewing as we ascend and exit the crater, and head to our tented camp for dinner and overnight. Read more

NGORONGORO - ARUSHA

After breakfast we drive towards a famous and interesting site, The Oldupai Gorge, the “cradle of mankind”, you will learn a lot about the discoveries found there. Had a great time! Tony was extremely helpful and accommodating in getting the logistical side of the safari lined up before we went and addressed all of our questions / concerns. The safari itself was an amazing time. We got to see all the animals that we could have hoped to see (lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeest, hyenas, buffalo, hippos and even a rhino!) and the experience sleeping under the stars was great. Our guide Isaac and our chef who accompanied us on the safari were excellent. Very down to earth people making the safari that much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend going with Taylor Safaris on your next safari as everyone involved works very hard to make sure you have a memorable experience. Read more
