Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, meet Samar Magic Tours team. This journey designed especially for small groups, families, private, and funny travel. Exploration to Terelj National Park-the valley is about 20kms/10miles long at 1600m. This picturesque National Park is a part of Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area. It is a great place for hiking, trekking, even you can rock climb here at its natural steep granite walls. Drive towards West to one of the most picturesque places of Mongolia, the Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes which is part of the 80 km long Mongol Els Sand Dunes. Relaxing and enjoy baths at Tsenkher Hot Springs (89C/192.2F). Visit a Yak breeder’s family and experience the traditional customs and lifestyle of local residents. Explore and visits Karakorum (Kharkhorin) was the capital of the Great Mongolian Empire of Genghis Khan in the 13-14th centuries and and the Northern Yuan in the 14–15th centuries, the VIII century Turkish monuments in the Orkhon Valley, and many more. Its ruins lie in the northwestern corner of the Ovorkhangai Province of Mongolia, near today's town of Kharkhorin, and adjacent to the Erdene Zuu monastery. They are part of the upper part of the World Heritage Site Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. Ride horses on the steppes, meeting nomadic people, staying in a traditional tent, seeing grasslands and beautiful vistas. We would be pleased to have you join us!

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, meet Samar Magic Tours team. Transfer to hotel (by hotels policy the check-in time at hotel is after 02:00 P.M.) and rest. 06:00 P.M.-Enjoy a traditional cultural Mongolian folklore performance of song, dance, music and contortionists. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar City tour

Breakfast. 09:30 A.M.-Drive to visit the Gandantegchinlen Monastery is a Tibetan-style Buddhist monastery, that has been restored and revitalized since 1990. The Tibetan name translates to the "Great Place of Complete Joy". It currently has over 150 monks in residence. It features a 26.5-meter-high statue of Avalokitesvara. It came under state protection in 1994. Afterward, drive to visits the National History Museum, where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present, the main square in the heart of Ulaanbaatar. Here you will see a large statue of the Genghis or Chinggis Khaan-inaugurated in 2006 on the occasion of 800th Anniversary of the Great Mongolian Empire of Genghis Khan (1206-2006), the Sukh Baatar Hero along with The Parliament House, Stock Exchange, the Drama Theater and the Palace of Culture. Lunch is included in local restaurant. After lunch, we visit the Choijin Lama temple-museum: the complex consists of four temples originally occupied by the brother of the ruler Bogd Khan, Choijin Lama Luvsankhaidav, who was the state oracle at the time. Ulaanbaatar City tour

UB-Genghis Khaan-Terelj N.P

Breakfast. 09:30 A.M.-Visit the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan-the palace is the only one left from originally four residences of the eighth Jebtsundamba Khutughtu, who was later proclaimed Bogd Khan, or emperor of Mongolia. Free time in the morning. Drive back to check-out (by hotels policy check-out time is before 12:00 noon). Lunch is included in local restaurant. Afterward, drive towards N/E to visit the 40 meter (~133,3 feet) Statue of Genghis or Chinggis Khaan. Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck of the horse, where they can have a panoramic view. Continue drive North to Terelj National Park. The valley is about 20kms/10miles long at 1600m. This picturesque National Park is a part of Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area. It is a great place for hiking, trekking, even you can rock climb here at its natural steep granite walls. On the way, we explore the 100 Lamas cave, where 100 Lamas hide from the soviets repression. Arrive and to be transferred. Dinner. Our guide and our transport will return to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in traditional Mongolian Gers in a tourist ger camp in Terelj National Park. Karakorum-Orkhon Valley

Breakfast. Today, we will drive to Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia. Karakorum (Kharkhorin) was the capital of the Great Mongolian Empire of Genghis Khan in the 13-14th centuries. Visit one of Mongolia’s two largest monasteries, the Erdenezuu Monastery. Erdenezuu has a complex of 108 stupas and over 10 temples that contain rich displays of Mongolian Buddhism. You will also visit the surrounding sites of Karakorum: the legendary Turtle of Karakorum and the Karakorum museum. Both the Erdenezuu Monastery and ruins of Karakorum are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After, we drive to visit the VIII century Turkish monuments in the Orkhon Valley. Today, the cultural heritage of the valley constitutes a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These monuments are dedicated to the Turkish Princes Kul Tegin and Bilge Khan, brothers who were famous for their military bravery. On the way, we visit a breeder nomadic family’s ger in Orkhon Valley and learn about Mongolians’ nomadic way of life. Try a traditional Mongolian meal and tea. Stop on the way, to visit and explore Hustain Nuruu Wild Horses Reserve (hustai is Mongolian for birch and nuruu means mountains) measures about 57,000 hectares, or including the buffer zone 120.000 ha., and is located on about 100kms/62 miles west from the capital Ulaanbaatar. Very nice ger, owners committed to comfort and friendly. We were picked up on time form the train and taken to the ger camp and the driver was careful (always a plus!) although they had to stop in Ulan Batar first for some errands and the traffic is horrendous so that added some time to getting out to the camp. That said, they were very nice about stopping at a store first for some supplies. The camp is located in a very nice area although it is a bit "touristy" so if you were looking for a genuine Mongolian nomadic experience this would not be it. But then again, I think this was a nice balance between comfort and the ger experience. They had an English speaking interpreter on site to help us and that was great. It was early in the season so we were the only ones there and they cooked us a traditional Khorkog meal on the first night (mutton, potatoes, cabbage and carrots) and the interpreter took us through the warming stones ritual before we ate and it was a nice touch. The camp is built on the side of a hill and you can climb down the valley on the back side to the river and it is breathtakingly beautiful. The bathroom was a bit far away for me as i had a touch of travellers revenge but then again, it is a ger right? They were very nice and friendly and from the ger you can watch the herders and horsemen and a yak gave birth on the morning we were there. Neat. The ger itself is very nice and we felt recharged when we left. Nice woodstove and they gave us all the wood we needed. Nice milk sharing ritual as we left. Overall, I would definitely recommend.
