We welcome you to the land of glittering pagodas. On your arrival, our guide and driver will welcome and meet you at the airport and will drive to the hotel for check in. On the way to hotel, we will visit Chauk Htet Kyi 70-meter reclining Buddha and one of the largest images in Myanmar. After refreshment at hotel, we will go to walk around the Kandawgyi Park and take pictures of Karaweik Hall and Shwedagon Pagoda scenic view from afar and visit the Grand Shwedagon Pagoda in the evening for the most picturesque experience and transfer back to the hotel. After breakfast at hotel, our driver will transfer to airport for a flight to Bagan. On arrival at Nyaung U airport, our guide will pick up with your name board and your journey begins with a visit to local colorful market where you can learn the local life. Then, we will continue our journey with a visit to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda for an introduction to Bagan’s rich history; we will visit nearby Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi Temple with exquisite Jataka mural paintings, the elegant Htilominlo temple. Then enjoy lunch at the restaurant and transfer to our hotel to reload. This afternoon begin with a visit to Ananda temple, an architectural masterpiece which is one of the Bagan’s most beautiful temples. From here, travel by horse carts; one of the things to do in Bagan, to Thatbyinnyu the highest temple in Bagan, massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork. Today we will explore the rural village of Minnanthu, where you can see cotton weaving and harvesting the crops in their field. Nearby we will visit Bagan famous temples such as Laymyathnar Monastery Complex, Phayathonsu, Nandamannya with detests mural painting from 13th century. Then, have lunch at one of the local restaurants and return to the hotel for a break of a few hours to enjoy the swimming time at your hotel. Later this afternoon, our journey continue to Manuha temple with huge Buddha images, Nanpaya built with the sandstone, Gubyauk Gyi temple (Myinkaba) where you can see very colorful mural painting of Bagan period. If you prefer to visit Lacquer ware workshops, our guide will assist you to bring a nice place. Then, in the evening, to catch sunset, make your journey to jetty for a slow cruise down the Irrawaddy River by boat. As we cruise down, we will observe the lifestyle of fishermen and riverside villagers as well as enjoying the unique perspective of Bagan’s temples. Then return to your hotel and stay overnight. After breakfast at hotel, we will drive from Bagan to Mandalay by private car. On the way, we will enjoy beautiful scenery and local way of life. It will take around 4 hours. On arrival, our Mandalay sightseeing starts by visiting a landmark of Mandalay, the Maha Muni Pagoda, famous for its large golden Buddha image. We then will visit some arts and crafts workshops such as a stucco, tapestry, and a hand-made gold-leaf workshop. And then we will visit the Shwenandaw Kyaung, an impressive wooden monastery which once was part of the Mandalay Palace. Our journey continues with a visit to Kuthodaw Paya, more commonly known as the “world’s biggest book”. The slabs of marble are inscribed with the entire Tipitaka Buddhist scriptures. We will go up to the top of Mandalay Hill from where we can enjoy a birds-eye view of Mandalay and catch a beautiful sunset. After sunset we back to the hotel for overnight. Read more
After breakfast at hotel, today we are going to explore the ancient cities around Mandalay. We will proceed to Ava (Innwa). Innwa tour highlights include the 27-meter-high Masonry Watch Tower, Nan Myint (or) the ''Leaning Tower of Innwa", Bagaya Monastery built with 276 teak pillars. Then drive to visit Mae Nu stucco monastery built in 1822AD. After lunch, visit Sagaing Hill, U Min Thonze Caves and Swan Oo Ponyashin Pagoda. On arrival, we will proceed to Pindaya and visit famous impressive caves filled with thousands of Buddha statues. After breakfast at hotel, start exploring the Inle Lake by boat. There are many small villages nearby where you can see the unique leg-rowers and their traditional style. We will visit to typical floating gardens and enjoy the local methods of fishing and the magnificent scenery. And then go to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest sites in this area of Shan State and proceed to the weaving village of Inpawkhon. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving Inthar cuisine. Then explore the southern part of the lake by boat sailing through lush vegetation scenery to reach Indein village. It is famous for its ruined cluster of pagodas by 16th Century. You can enjoy the most amazing historical sights on the shore of the lake consisting of hundreds of small stupas. And then return to the hotel and overnight. Read more
After breakfast at hotel, we drive to Taunggyi(1hours) continue to visit Kakku Pagoda Complex, a cluster of fantastic ancient monuments and is located in the heart of Shan state. It is mainly a group of thousands of pagodas and temples which were built in the 16th century. Then we continue drive to Heho airport for a flight back to Yangon. Pro Niti arranged a tour for me in and around Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin including the train over Goktheik viaduct. My guide, "Mirror" (Ei Kyayhmone), was excellent. She was knowledgeable, patient and had a cheery attitude. It was raining most of the time during my tour (and when we visited Mandalay Hill). Mirror reminded me that even if we couldn't see the sunset, we had a different but still beautiful view. She was knowledge about good shopping spots as well. I had a lovely time. I had some communication problems in the beginning with ProNiti. Also, I was not informed that I was expected to have a digital boarding pass for the flight they had booked. We went on a 15 days trip in Myanmar. the itinerary was all planned out according to where we want to go and what we should see. the plan was wonderful. the different guides we got in different cities were AMAZING!!!! we visited yangon, bagan, mandalay, inle lake and back to yangon. transportations were all covered for. the guides even went extra miles to confirm our flight, talked to our coach company and makes sure were were in good hands.
