You will fly to Nyaung-U airport and transfer to Bagan. From the 9th to 13th Centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Bagan. During the kingdom's prosperity between the 11th and 13th Centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in Bagan plains alone,
of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day. You will visit renowned temples in Bagan and Nyaung-U including Ananda Temple, known as Westminster Abbey of Burma; Dhammayangyi Temple, the largest of all temples in Bagan; and Gawdawpalin Temple, the second tallest temple in Bagan, as well as other famous pagodas such as Sulamani, Manuha, Lawkananda, Htilominlo, Shwezigon, and Gubyaukgyi Pagoda. You will also visit Tharabha Gate which is part of ruined city wall. You will enjoy Bagan’s sunset view from above a temple. You will stay overnight in Bagan.
