Yangon Arrival & Sightseeing

Welcome to Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar, where the largest number of colonial buildings in entire Southeast Asia is located. On arrival at Yangon International Airport, our representative will meet and greet you, followed by transfer to your hotel. Along the way, we will visit Chauk Htat Gyi reclining Buddha image. In evening, you will visit 2600 years old Shwedagon Zedi Daw, the most renown and spectacular landmark dominating the skyline of Yangon. The 325 feet-tall, gold glided pagoda enshrines the relics of past four Buddhas and it is the most sacred religious place for Buddhist Burmese. You will stay overnight in Yangon. Read more

Bagan Sightseeing

You will fly to Nyaung-U airport and transfer to Bagan. From the 9th to 13th Centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Bagan. During the kingdom's prosperity between the 11th and 13th Centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day. You will visit renowned temples in Bagan and Nyaung-U including Ananda Temple, known as Westminster Abbey of Burma; Dhammayangyi Temple, the largest of all temples in Bagan; and Gawdawpalin Temple, the second tallest temple in Bagan, as well as other famous pagodas such as Sulamani, Manuha, Lawkananda, Htilominlo, Shwezigon, and Gubyaukgyi Pagoda. You will also visit Tharabha Gate which is part of ruined city wall. You will enjoy Bagan’s sunset view from above a temple. You will stay overnight in Bagan. Read more

Salay & Popa Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will drive to Salay which is located 15 kilometres south of Bagan. In Salay, we will visit Yoke Sone Monastery with its spectacular woodcarvings. You will also visit Man Paya Pagoda, the largest lacquer Buddha image in Myanmar. (Remark: Yoke Sone Monastery is closed on Monday & public holiday.) After Salay, you will visit Mount Popa. Mount Popa is an extinct volcano, which is located about 31 miles away from Bagan. Popa is best known for the stunningly picturesque Popa Taungkalat monastery and is popularly recognized as an abode of many ancient spirits. After visiting Mount Popa, you will return to Bagan. Enroute, we will visit a village to learn about making jiggery from toddy palm syrup. The translucent white syrup is boiled until it becomes golden brown and then made into bite-sized pieces. Amarapura & Mandalay Sightseeing

You will transfer to airport and fly to Mandalay, the last royal capital of Burmese kingdom before final annexation by the British in 1885. Enroute Mandalay, you will stop at Amarapura, an old seat of kings once upon a time. Aamarapura is located is 11 kilometres south of Mandalay. You will visit Maha Gandayon Monastery, home to thousands of monks and the longest teak bridge in the world, U Bein Bridge, a 1.2 km long teak footbridge spanning Taungthaman Lake. In Mandalay, you will visit Mahamuni Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s most revered Buddha images; Photostop at Mya Nan San Kyaw Mandalay Golden Palace of last Burmese monarchy. Visit Shwe Kyaung monastery, Atu Ma Shi monastery, You will also visit Maha Lawka Marazein Kuthodaw Inscription Shrines, known as the “biggest book of the world”, where Buddhist scriptures as adopted at the 5th Buddhist Synod are carved on 729 marble tablets more than 200 years ago. In 2013 Kuthodaw has been included in the UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. Mingun & Ava Sightseeing

Today you will take one-hour boat trip upriver from Mandalay to Mingun, home to Mingun Pahtoetawgyi(known as Unfinished Pagoda) and The Mingun Bell. The bell is weight 55,555 viss and is one of the heaviest functioning bells in the world. You will also visit famous Mya Thein Tan Pagoda in Mingun. Another ancient kingdom you will visit is Innwa (Ava) with its attractions: Ruins of Innwa Palace, Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, Me Nu Oak Kyaung and Bagaya Kyaung. You will also visit Sagaing, an ancient kingdom, where many ancient pagodas including Kaung Hmudaw, U Min Thoneze, and Soon U Ponya Shin Pagodas can be spotted on Sagaing Hills. Pindaya Sightseeing

You will transfer to airport and fly to Heho Airport. Heho in Shan State is a primary air gateway to Inle Lake. From Heho, you will go to Pindaya, a town which is well known for limestone caves called Pindaya Caves. Inside the caves, there are thousands of Buddha images which have been consecrated for worship over centuries. Along the way, you will see the various plantations. Then you will head to Nyaung Shwe. Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, is well known for its floating gardens and dwellers, called Intha, who practice unique upright one leg-rowing style. Your excursion in Inle Lake (by boat) visiting to the following places like unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty, fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and collecting seaweed, lakebed mud etc to make floating gardens. If possible, you will visit morning floating market that rotates daily at five different locations around the lake. Then you will visit well known Nga Pe Chaung (Jumping Cat) monastery and Silver smith factory. Then visit to Cheroot making factory, Boat making carpentry workshop, Silk weaving factory. In the late afternoon, visit the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda. The five small Buddha images of the Pagoda are all covered with gold leaf so thick that their original forms can no longer be seen. You will transfer to Heho Airport for flight to Thandwe. Thandwe is a major seaport in Rakhine State in the westernmost part of Myanmar. Ngapali Beach, one of the most unspoilt beaches in the world, is located 7 kilometres from the town of Thandwe. Ngapali Beach is said to have named after the city of Naple in Italy. Unlike today's beaches of Asia, Ngapali is free of noisy beachside entertainment and crowded people. There are only natural beauty of blue sea, white sand and sunshine. With three kilometres stretch of soft white sands skirting crystal clear water of the Indian Ocean, Ngapali is one of the loveliest places in Myanmar.
