Uganda, commonly referred to as the “Pearl of Africa” is well known as a home to over half of the rare mountain Gorillas and in this particular itinerary, we will take you for a unique gorilla tracking experience. The time you will spend observing these giant yet gentle apes is truly a rewarding one.
You will be met by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and thereafter transfer to Boma Hotel Entebbe (Mid-range) / Airport Guest House (Budget) for an overnight on Bed and Breakfast basis
After your morning breakfast, start a panoramic ride south west of Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. You will have a stop over at the Equator for photographs; thereafter proceed, passing through the savannah grass land with the long horned Ankole cows grazing along the road. Stop over for lunch at Mbarara town and thereafter descend to the beautiful Kigezi hills commonly known as the "Switzerland of Africa". Arrival at Nkuringo Gorilla camp (Up market)/ Haven Lodge (Mid-range)/ Buhoma community rest camp (Budget) later in the evening for dinner and overnight; have enough rest as you prepare for an adventurous Gorilla tracking activity the next day. Take an early morning breakfast and well equipped with packed lunch, head to the park headquarters for briefing, orientation and meeting the guides, you will then be separated into groups depending on which gorilla group given. The guide will lead you through the gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forests searching for gorillas. Once gorillas are tracked you will be given one hour interaction and taking photos. Interacting with these giant and gentle apes is truly a rewarding experience. After tracking depending on time you may take community walk to visit the native Batwa community and have cultural entertainment. This is yet another experience that will give you an encounter with the local African cultures. Return for dinner and overnight at Nkuringo Gorilla camp/ Haven lodge/ Buhoma community rest camp. After your breakfast, prepare for a transfer back to Kampala. You will enjoy your ride through the Kigezi hills with beautiful scenery, observing various activities carried out by the local communities. You will have a stop over for lunch at Mbarara town and thereafter proceed to Kampala. Arrive in time for a transfer to Entebbe International airport to catch up with your international flight.
