Amman

After breakfast, we head to visit Madaba, a city best known for the famous 6th century Mosaic map of Jerusalem & Holy Land and for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Today we will pay a Jordanian family a visit and learn how to cook a Jordanian dish and enjoy a delicious lunch meal. Proceed to Mt. Nebo (site only as the church is closed down for renovation) a city mentioned in the bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the promised land that he would never enter. PETRA

After breakfast, we head to visit the Nabatean Red Rose city of Petra, one of the 7 world wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enter the city through 1KM long narrow gorge which is flanked either side by 80m high cliffs! Notice the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks. The site is massive, and contains hundreds of elaborated rock-cut tombs, a treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets. Enjoy a tasty lunch meal within the Petra site itself at the Basin Restaurant. Read more

Petra

After breakfast, you get to explore the secret route into the Petra site! We start from the main gate of Petra to Djinn blocks, the Obelisk Tomb and Bab Al Siq, walk through Al Madras Mountain through secret way to watch the Siq from the top, Jabal Al jilf, Danour Al Khaznah, and a view of the treasury from the very top in Petra! Next, we trek to the High Place of Sacrifice, hike through Wadi Nmayer, hike through Wadi Farasa Route, to the Renaissance Tomb, Broken Pediment Tomb, Roman Solider Tomb and colored Triclinium, the Garden Temple, and visit the Lions Fountain. Now we follow the route down to the outer Siq and back to the main gate. In the evening, go for dinner at a local restaurant in Wadi Musa. Read more

Petra

Today we learn about Jordanian cuisine in a very special dining setting in the heart of Wadi Musa (Petra). With each dish, you gain insight into the Jordanian culinary scene and you enjoy the special flavor of a reward well-earned! Begin your lesson in a relaxed and informal atmosphere at Petra Kitchen and start preparing a typical Jordanian meal under the supervision of a local chef. The menu today includes soup, mezza, salads, and a main course which gives you a unique glimpse into the secrets of the making of the local cuisine. After enjoying the fruits of your labor and relax at the terrace while puffing on the long pipe of the traditional Argeelah (Shisha). Proceed to Little Petra for a visit, and spend the night in your camp for the night. Read more

Little Petra

After breakfast, head to Wadi Rum for a 2-hour Jeep ride into the Jordanian Desert! During the Jeep ride you will see the Nabatean Temple. Afterwards, we will drive to Lawrence Spring with a short stop. Following this we will head to the large Red Sand Dunes amongst many other remarks. Upon completion, head to Aqaba city to enjoy a Sea Food lunch at one of the local restaurant, and then proceed to your hotel in Aqaba to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Read more

Aqaba

After breakfast, we head to the north west of Jordan to visit Mukawir. Mukawir is the site of Machaerus, mentioned in the New Testament as the palace in which Salome danced in exchange for the head of Johan the Baptist on a platter (Mark 6:21-29). Now, head to the Dead Sea for some free time to swim and lunch. Proceed to visit the baptismal site of Jesus Christ (Bethany beyond Jordan). Read more
