Chitwan wildlife safari Tour Nepal

We offer you the best of Chitwan – a wilderness of rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles and water animals of numerous kinds. The highlights of this park are the 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros (One-Horned Rhino) and some hundred nocturnal Royal Bengal Tigers that live in the dense forests of the park. You will discover a lost world of towering trees and twisting vines, of pre-historic rhino and lumbering elephants, crocodiles, pythons and deer; brilliantly colored birds and if you are fortunate – the superb Royal Bengal Tiger. Sharing home with these are other animals like rhesus monkey, grey langur, and leopards. We also introduce you to another most important factor adding to the Chitwan experience – the colorful Tharu Culture, their way of living, culture and tradition and heart touching Tharu Dance. Katmandu after arrival was fantastic. Rajan our guide welcomed us and made the transition to hotel easy for us. We did day tour of World Heritage Site ie Hanuman Dhoka / Kathmandu Durbar Square , Monkey Temple and Cremetory place of Hindu called Pashupatinath. Nepal is a beautiful place so much colour culture and diversity. Our guide is well informed on the history of his country. At any time if we needed help Rajan would be there for us. Read more

The flight into Jomson was spectacular. I enjoyed riding a horse up to Muktinath which was arranged by Indra when I told him how much I loved horse riding. We trekked at our own pace stopping at tea houses when we wanted too. Indra looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. It was a wonderful experience and we felt a great sense of satisfaction to arrive back in Pokhara after completing our trek, especially as we were in our late sixties! I can highly recommend Vistta Adventures to anyone going to Nepal. Read more

We are two mature aged Australian females and Indra and Sandy organised a three week adventure in Nepal to suit our fitness level and interests. We were extremely well looked after and every aspect of our time in Nepal was handled proficiently in a professional manner. We were met at the airport at Kathmandu and because there were only two of us we were able to stay in the guest room at Indra’s Kathmandu home. Our first impressions of Kathmandu were of noise, chaotic traffic, dust and crowds. We later discovered charming people, quieter areas, interesting and cheap shops and restaurants and a different way of life. During our first couple of days in Kathmandu were shown around the area visited an orphanage and were treated to an authentic Nepali Chulo evening where we enjoyed traditional food, drink, dancing and entertainment. The first part of our trip was a trek from Jomson to Pokhara accompanied by a guide and a porter. We were taken on a tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara which was an interesting ride through terraced hills much of it beside a river. Along the route there were buffalo ploughing, rice crops, women washing clothes in the river so we had plenty to watch. At Pokhara we stayed a Hotel Taj before our early morning flight to Jomson. Our guide Rajan told us to be ready to board the plane and get window seats at the front. That flight was one of the highlights of the trip and took us close to Annapurna and in amongst the mountain peaks just as the sun was rising. It is worth doing the trip for the flight alone particularly from our front seats on the right hand side of the small plane . The first days walk was an easy trek to Marpha and then on to Tukucha where we stayed at a Tea House. The views were amazing and the air cool, clear and fresh. It was easy to see why people get hooked on the mountains and keep returning. Rajan was very informative and knew heaps about the area and although Kamal, our porter, had limited English we were able to communicate and it was apparent he had a good sense of humour and was a pleasant companion. We spent 9 days trekking and took hundreds of photos of mountain views, rhododendrons, suspension bridges, passing donkeys and other trekkers. There were Tea houses along the route and Rajan found places for us to eat and stay and organised the trekking permits so we only had to enjoy the journey. One highlight was an early morning walk up Poon Hill to see the sunrise. This is a must for a lot of trekkers and there was a constant line of twinkling lights going up the hill. I found this hill a challenge and missed the sunrise but enjoyed the atmosphere at the summit where all nationalities mixed and enjoyed the views together. The last night we stayed at Sarakot to enjoy the fantastic views over Pokhara. On the final part of the walk down into Pokhara we met several other walkers struggling up the hill to Sarakot and were pleased we had started the trek from the other end. We enjoyed a day in Pokhara, checking out the shops, eating at the restaurants and walking beside the lake. Here we had to say farewell to Kamal who had looked after us, carried our luggage and taught us some card games. Rajan stayed with us and put on the tourist bus for the next part of the adventure in the National Park Chitwan. We were met in Chitwan and taken to a charming hotel with an immaculate garden. On our first day we were taken for a walk in the forest to look for animals and we were rewarded by the sight of a rhinoceros calmly eating weeds in a big pond. On our second day in Chitwan we were taken for an elephant ride through the forests before having the chance to wash the elephants in the river. It was more fun watching from the bank as younger people frolicked in the water and were hosed by the elephants. My favourite part of the Chitwan experience was a ride down the river in a shallow boat paddled by a guide who pointed out the numerous wild life including crocodiles. The following day we were taken to the tourist bus that headed back to Kathmandu but we were only going as far as Manakamana where we met by Indra and Sandy and taken to visit a fantastic Hindu temple high in the hills. On the walk towards the temple we enjoyed the inexpensive tourist stalls selling intricately carved stone and bone objects amongst a vast array merchandise. The next day we had the novel experience of a journey through rural countryside on a local bus to Gorkah. We walked from there to Dawa village which was where Indra originally came from. This was the part of the trip where we were completely away from the normal tourist routes and were able to stay in a traditional village home as part of a family and enjoy a meal cooked over a wood fire. It was a privilege to be shown around the village by the children who enjoyed practising their English and were very entertaining. The following day we walked back to the road to catch a bus back to Kathmandu. The normal buses, as opposed to the tourist buses are an experience not to be missed and we still laugh about aspects of that trip. Our final few days in Kathmandu passed very quickly and we were taken by two guides on an extensive tour of all the tourist sites in Kathmandu. We had the option of doing this tour by motorbike but since my insurance did not cover motorbike riding I opted to do in by car. A days outing I particularly enjoyed was a day with Sandy where we visited the Monkey temple and then had lunch at the British Club. Sandy also took us to see the biggest and best book shop I have ever been in. It had new and second had books and was very well organised. Sadly Sandy says it has since burnt down. A shopping trip in the Thamel concluded our adventure and with Indras help the already cheap prices were further reduced. I have no hesitation in recommending Vista Adventure Nepal and am happy for any intending travellers to contact me at Ann Australia. Read more
