This twelve days in-depth journey covers many bases in our Golden Land. As well as famous sights and spots like Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake, the journey takes in lesser-known highlights such as the authentic Kayah State to get immersed in several hiiltribes of the country and the holy place of Mount Popa.

Yangon Arrival

Arrive at Yangon airport where tour guide is waiting for you and transfer to the hotel. Begin with Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to see a huge reclining Buddha image, Karaweik Royal Barge (a royal floating Barge on a lake for a fantastic photo view). Afterwards, visit Bogyoke Market ( Scott Market ), to give the opportunity to see Myanmar's wide range of handicrafts and souvenirs. Shopping time with hundreds of food , clothes, handicrafts and gems store. In late afternoon, complete your day in Myanmar with an extended visit to one of the world's most spectacular monuments, the Shwedagon Pagoda: its golden stupa is the 'heart' of Myanmar. The pagoda is believed 2,500 years old and the central stupa is surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. Yangon (1 Night)

Yangon - Loikaw

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Yangon airport and domestic flight to Loikaw. Arrive in Loikaw, the capital town of Kayah State located in the Karen Hills, near the State's northern tip, just above an embayment on the Pilu River. The inhabitants are mostly Kayah (also known as Karen). Visit Kayah State Cultural Museum which displays bronze drums used in wedding and funeral occasions, traditional dress, silverware and musical instruments of the Kayah people. In the centre of town, there is an impressive rock on which stands the Thirimingala Pagoda (Taung Kwe Zedi). The climb up with various steep steps is worthwhile, for a great view over the town and the nearby hills. Then proceed to Chikae village to enjoy wonderful field of Takon Dhaing, a flagpole of Nats (spirits) . Afterwards, visit weaving factory where most Kayah tradition costume are produced. In late afternoon, visit one of Loikaw's weaving centers, where beautiful Kayah longyi patterns are made. Visit Taung Kwe Zedi and enjoy sunset. Overnight at hotel. Read more

Loikaw (1 Night)

Breakfast at hotel. First, visit the main market in Loikaw. Local guide buy goods and food for donation. Drive about 1 hour towards the Padaung villages of Pan Pad. Padaung women, sometimes known as ‘long-necked women’, traditionally wear many brass rings around their necks and ankles, starting from the age of six or seven, and added each year. The original purpose was to repel prospective kidnappers. From the road, an easy 45-minute walk on a track brings to the first village where you’ll see Padaung women. Spend time in the village. Loikaw (1 Night)

Loikaw - Sagar - Inle Lake

Breakfast at hotel. Drive 50 minutes by road to Phekhone, board a boat and explore the Pa-Oh village of Sagar, based in the southern part of Inle Lake, and enjoy a journey of 2 hours through this dramatic scenery with various "sunken stupas". This route is not often taken by travelers and is still unspoiled. After lunch time, continue boat trip to hotel in Inle Lake for 2 hours. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Read more

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by boat to visit the lake’s morning market, the location of which changes every day. The Intha and Paoh hill tribes sell their fresh products here. Continue by boat onto the Pa-Oh village of Indein, on the western shore of Inle Lake, enshrined among hundreds of stupa ruins and overgrown shrubbery. Head back to the lake and stop at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where traditional Burmese cigars are handmade. Transfer by boat to your hotel. Free time at the hotel. Inle Lake - Heho - Mandalay

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Heho airport and domestic flight to Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar. After lunch time, head to Mahamuni Pagoda which houses one of the country’s most honored Buddha images, completely covered in gold leaves. Then, head to traditional workshops and its expert craftsmen. continue with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda where the marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures are called the ‘World’s Biggest Book’. Then move onto Shwenandaw Monastery, a grand example of 19th century Myanmar teak architecture and also a significant masterpiece of the wood-carver’s art before we reach summit of Mandalay Hill to catch sunset views. Mandalay (1 Night)

Breakfast at hotel. First visit to Amarapura, 15 km (30 minutes) from Mandalay. Visit U Bein Bridge for a walk along this 200 year-old teak bridge teak bridge built in 1782 when Amarapura was Royal Capital. The bridge was constructed of 984 teak posts that were once part of the deserted Inwa Palace. At 1.2 kilometers in length, it is the world’s longest teak span. Then, visit Mahagandayon Monastery , a famous Buddhist monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study . If the time permits, observe the monks having their last meal of the day in total silence. Continue visit traditional hand – woven silk workshop . Then, visit the former Royal Capital of Inwa ( Ava ) with a short ride local ferry boat ( 10 minutes ) located on an island between the Ayeyarwaddy and the Myitnge Rivers. Visit Inwa by charming horse-drawn carriage pass through the ancients city walls to visit a brick and continue visit to the impressive wooden monastery of Maha Aungmye Bonzan, built of brick and stucco as well as the Bargayar Monastery, famous for its ornate woodcarvings and teak posts ( also known as Ok Kyaung ). Visit to the Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the palace building nicknamed ' leaning tower of Ava ', the climb to the top offers lovely views over river. Drive back to Mandalay and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel. Read more

Mandalay (1 Night)

Mandalay - Mingun - Bagan

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Jetty and Excursion by local boat to Mingun. Visit Mingun Bell: the world's largest uncracked bell, weighing 90 tons and continue Hsinbyume Pagoda built as one of the world's largest one cherished by King Bodaw Paya. After visit, sail back to Mandalay. In the afternoon, transfer to Mandalay Airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Arrive at Nyaung U airport and short transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. Read more

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, start the day with first visit to Nyaung-Oo morning market to see people ways of life. Begin the day with the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th as a religious shrine. Continue onto Ananda Temple: a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas and the adjacent brick monastery with the beautiful, well-preserved 18th century murals. Visit Thatbinnyu Temple known as “temples of omniscience” and dating from 1144. Continue visit to the Sulamani temple. Transfer to the hotel and leisure. Afternoon visit one of the Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts, a lacquer ware home Industry: near by Myingabar village. Continue visit to Damayangyi Temple (the massive temple in Bagan). Bagan (1 Night)

Bagan - Mt Popa - Bagan

Breakfast at hotel. Then drive directly to Mt. Popa for 1 hour. On the way to Mt. Popa, observe toddy farmers’ life and process of jaggery making (that is worth to observe ways of local people life along the way, water fetching, making edible oil and so on.). Mt. Popa is believed to be the sacred home of the Nats and is now a national park. On top of a rocky crag is a picturesque complex of monasteries, pagodas and shrines, where it is possible to climb via a winding, covered walkway. Drive back to Bagan and on the way visit to some villages near Bagan. Transfer to the hotel and leisure. Overnight at hotel. Read more

Bagan - Yangon

Breakfast at the hotel. Short transfer to Nyaung U airport for domestic flight to Yangon airport. Arrive in Yangon and transfer to hotel. Check in and free time at leisure. In the late afternoon, start sightseeing with drive through the Colonial Style Buildings located in downtown, the Chinatown area and the Indian quarter. Overnight at the hotel. Read more
