After a long flight to Tanzania, we assume that our guests are tired. So on this first day will only transfer you to the lodge for a rest. A free town tour can be arranged on request. All meals and overnight will be at a lodge in Arusha
After breakfast you will drive to Mtowambu town on the floor of the Great rift valley, for a guided village tour. In this small but very busy town where people belonging to all 120 tribes in Tanzania live together you will have opportunity to see typical daily life of Tanzanians. Your walking guide who comes from that area will take you to rice and banana plantations where you will interact with the people working in their farms, you will visit a traditional beer bar/factory, you will visit a school and carvings factory where the famous “makonde” use ebony black wood to carve different statues. You will then continue to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will depart for game drive in Lake Manyara national park. In this small but very beautiful park with dense forest you will have opportunity to see lots of monkeys, giraffes, elephants, impalas, dik dik, flamingos in the lake and if you are lucky you may spot the rare tree climbing lions.
