After breakfast depart to San Gerardo de Dota, located at the foothills of the Talamanca mountain range. This picturesque village is not a major tourist destination, it is one of the best places to escape of everyday life. Dota is one of the areas producters of coffee par excellence in Costa Rica. In Dota there are some protected areas such as Los Santos Forest Reserve and Los Quetzales National Park. The Savegre river, which is considered the cleanest river in the country. Breakfast included at the hotel. Early morning we will enjoy one of the signature tour of this area, the Quetzal Quest! San Gerardo de Dota is home to a large population of one of the most beautiful birds in the Americas, the Resplendent Quetzal. Join the local guide for coffee, before departing at 6:00 am on a quest to find Quetzals. Our guide, will lead the tour to try and spot one/some Quetzal (s) for you. With its metallic green plumage, crimson breast and bell and its incredible streamer-like feat-hers, watching a male Quetzal in its magical fly, is a unique, breathtaking experience. After the tour enjoy breakfast and be ready for an adrenaline zip linging tour. This canopy ride offers 10 platforms of enjoyment, four are on tree tops, with altitudes of 20 to 25 meters and the six other platforms start on the ground, making this ride a perfect option for those who want to admire the forest, the Savegre River and the views. This is an ideal canopy tour for beginners and nature lovers, who will live the adrenaline-filled adventure and access incredible sights. Read more

Uvita is an small town, located just 15 minutes south of the popular surf town of Dominical. After breakfast we will visit one of Costa Rica’s beautiful National Parks: Marino Ballena. Before we get started, our experienced bilingual guide will go through the safety guidelines. Departing from the beach, we kayak to our special snorkeling location where your guide points out different types of aquatic wildlife that inhabit the area. After around 45 min. we head towards Marino Ballena’s Man-groves! This area offers some of the best bird watching in the National Park. We can often spot the common kingfisher, the American pygmy kingfisher, and many other beautiful birds. After the man-groves we leisurely head towards the beach and take you back to the hotel. The boat leaves from Aguila’s private dock promptly at 10:30 a.m. Arrive to the hotel in time for lunch! Experience the magic and beauty of untouched nature on Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula that comes alive at Aguila de Osa. A true rainforest and marine adventure lodge, with a panorama of Drake Bay from the mouth of the Aguijitas River and is only a short distance from two of Costa Rica’s most precious natural gems, Corcovado National Park and Caño Island Marine Reserve. Today we will visit Corcovado National Park. This rainforest excursion is an unparalleled opportunity to explore the dense primary rainforest adjacent to San Pedrillo, Corcovado National Park’s northern-most ranger station. From the hotel, you’ll take a 25-minute boat ride along the west coat of the Osa. During the morning hike, your guide will point out many of the diverse species along the trail. After the morning hike and a break for lunch, you will have the opportunity to hike to a beautiful waterfall. Along the way to the falls you will have another chance for your guide to point out more of the bio diverse flora and fauna. The waterfalls offer the perfect opportunity to relax, take a refreshing swim in the fresh water, and take some pictures of this beautiful area. After some time at the falls, you will re-turn to the ranger station to catch the boat back to the hotel, and on the way, if you’re lucky, you may have the chance to see humpback whales or dolphins breaching and spinning in the ocean. Today we will visit Caño Island. Snorkel the clear waters of Caño Island Biological Reserve, an Eden of coral and rock formations, filled with schools of vibrant tropical fish. The dive masters take snor-kelers of all ages and experience levels aboard our 30-foot Island Hopper for some breathtaking ad-ventures in these beautiful waters. Visibility is 30 – 100 feet or more year-round, and the reefs and rocks formations are teeming with exotic sea life. The interior of Isla de Cano features evergreen trees that reach heights of up to 164 feet, which watch over the remains of the island’s Indigenous, Pre-Columbian inhabitants, the Diquis tribe. Not only have archeologist found remains, which concludes that the site was used as a burying ground, but there are perfectly spherical stones that adorn the land. The visitor will be in awe during the migrations of the whale sharks and humpback whales, seen from July and October, and again in December through March.
