In the morning you will drive to Masekampy, place of embarkation, located 30 km from Miandrivazo. You will embark on a canoe and start the descent of the Tsiribihina River for 145 km.
The wide course of the river, tinged red shades of laterite, offers a range of landscapes in perpetual motion. The
banks and sandbars, small atolls in the middle of the river, are all beaches and stops to camp or explore the banks. Gradually Tsiribihina creeps into the plateau of Bemaraha where it digs deep gorges, deep. The cliffs of the walls are covered with lush vegetation untouched by the bushfires.
You will begin the descent calmly on the majestic Tsiribihina River. You will enjoy a beautiful landscape and many species of wildlife such as herons, wild ducks, parrots, raptors, sailors, chameleons, insects and butterflies.
In the afternoon, a camp will be set up on a sandbank. At dinner time, you could enjoy your meal by listening to the sounds of the river and watching the sun go down.
