After Breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel and take to a City Tour where you also will visit Santo Domingo Museum and the Archaeological Site of Montealban
Oaxaca is a great cozy UNESCO World Heritage City, built in the middle of mountains of the Sierra del Sur, rich in art and crafts:
you can acquire the famous black mud ceramic and jewelry, colorful looms or the replicas of Mixtecas and Zapoteca jewels. Around the main Square you will find the Cathedral, constructed by the Dominican monks in the 16th century, as well as the Church of Santo Domingo that was part of a convent, now transformed into one of the best museum of colonial and pre-Colombian art, and where there are valuable objects from Monte Alban archeological site. Visit the former convent of Santa Catalina de Siena and the incredible market, one of the most typical in the region, where daily hundreds of people get together to offer their particular products, tradition that goes back to the pre-Hispanic times.

Monte Alban
It’s a largest pre-Columbian center and archaeological site in Oaxaca, its name means “Sacred Mountain of Life”. Monte Alban is 10 km far from the city of Oaxaca, at a height of 2,000 meters, located in the mountains of the Sierra del Sur. This is the religious capital of the Zapotec culture. There, you will visit the Great Square, the Ball Game, the Palace, the South Platform, the Dancers stelas, and the tomb 104, where the so-extended dead worship in Mesoamerican pre-Hispanic cultures is demonstrated.
