The Marangu route and this has led potential climbers to think that it is an easy route to the summit. The fact that it requires a minimum of 6 days to complete it does not mean that it is easier than any other route. The only reason that people say it is easier is because it is the only route up Kilimanjaro where you sleep in huts as opposed to tents. An optional acclimatization day at Horombo Huts is highly recommended.
The Shira/Lemosho route approaches Kilimanjaro from the west. Rather than simply intersecting Shira Plateau (like Machame), Lemosho crosses it from Shira Ridge to Shira 2 Camp, in a pleasant hike. Climbers encounter low traffic until the route joins the Machame route. Afterwards, Lemosho follows the same route through Lava Tower, Barranco and Barafu, known as the southern circuit. There are several options to complete the trek over 7, 8, or 9 days bas
Machame route is one of the highest summit success rates given the topography and nature of the route which allows climbers to “trek high & sleep low” hence making it a more favorable route for acclimatization. This route offers some of the most spectacular scenery while on the mountain. The Machame route starts in the south west side of the mountain and proceeds steeply north, traversing the Shira plateau and eventually joining the Shira and Lemosho
If you are not pushed for time we highly recommend you to take this route. The Machame route itself is quite undulating giving you a good variety of altitudes each day. With the 7 day itinerary you can take things a notch slower, giving you more time to relax and enjoy the scenery and of course a better chance of reaching the summit. If you don’t have previous experience of trekking at altitude then this is the itinerary for you!
Mount OlDoinyoLengai is a still powerful spring of spouting magma close Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is the rule mountain on the planet that radiates natrocarbonatite magma.
There are many possible slight variations to the Shira route, so don't be surprised if you see an itinerary that mentions different camps and different heights. The itinerary describes a six night/seven day Kilimanjaro climb on the Shira Route. (Note: altitudes and distances are approximations. Different sources will give you different numbers.)
If you want your Kilimanjaro climb to be a unique adventure, then how about planning to sleep on the Roof of Africa. At 5730 meters, Crater Camp on Mount Kilimanjaro is an almost untouched and unvisited wilderness. For climbers who are confident that they acclimatize well and have successfully been to altitude
Northern Circuit is the longest route to climb Kilimanjaro, and offers unparalleled acclimatization openings, making it one of the most secure routes. The trail starts at the Londorossi Gate on the west and seeks after indistinguishable way from the Lemosho Route on the initial two days. In any case, the way turns north close Lava Tower subsequent to intersection the Shira Plateau, and circles clockwise from Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp to School Hut,
On this trip, you will climb Mountain Kilimanjaro via the Machame route and after the climb, you will extend your vacation on safari to the beautifully endless plain of Serengeti Nat.ional park and the Ngorongoro crater.
