The Lemosho route is one of our preferred routes due to its low traffic, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. The Lemosho route starts off from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the lush rainforest to Shira Plateau
8 days is preferable for better acclimatization and summit success. The Lemosho route joins the Machame route just after Shira 2 Camp and then follows the same route through the southern circuit and descending at Mweka Gate.
This is probably the most scenic and most beautiful route to the summit. The 6-day route is however physically more challenging than the Marangu route. The day walks are longer and steeper, however the summit night is one hour shorter. The scenic traverse of the Western Breach offers some stunning views! Only tented accommodation available, which can be less comfortable and will require a good sleeping bag and hiking mattress.
It is done over 6 days, so acclimatization is easier, and the success rate is fairly high. It is for physically fit people with some hiking experience. Descent is down the Mweka trail staying at the Mweka or Millennium camp the final night on the mountain.
Calving usually takes place between January and February of each year. In January the herds begin making their way to the south of the Serengeti after the rains start falling.
Check out this amazing opportunity to see tens of thousands of wildebeests calves being born at the same time. See the struggle of protecting mothers and hunting predators as the harmony of the circle of life unfolds on the plains of Tanzania
The highlight of this safari w
The seven day Lemosho variation is preferred over the six day option because it breaks up day two into two days, providing better acclimatization and a more gradual ascent. On the seven day route, we walk from Forest Camp to Shira Camp 1 on day two, a reasonable altitude gain of 2,000 feet. Then on day three, we continue from Shira Camp 2 to the little used Moir Hut, at 13,800 feet. Overall the exposure to this altitude will help prepare the body for higher altitudes coming on the following days.
However, the trek from Barranco to Barafu, followed by the summit day are unchanged from the six day Lemosho variation. This schedule is still very tough, though the extra day on the mountain on the seven day route will help climbers deal with the exhausting itinerary better than
Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara are spectacular and understandably popular destinations and we visit these National Parks. But this trip includes cultural visit where you can find out about the way of life of the Maasai who live on the Ngorongoro highland. Many tourists pass through these areas leaving only a cloud of dust, but with the unique Africa VIP Travel connections we will enjoy some of the local culture. Our goal is to enrich your experience of this part of Africa and ensure more of the benefits of tourism reach the locals directly.
Our Photographic Safari is specifically created to put you in the best locations at the best times of the day for photography. The itinerary has been setup to maximize our time in the field creating images under the best circumstances possible. A long lens is not necessary the lens, uses Nikon’s 80-400mm most often in Expect in Africa Safari. On a crop camera body this lens is also good for birds in Africa. Many participants absolutely love the Sigma
In this safari you get to experience the highlights of Uganda and Tanzania. Migration wildlife safaris, tours, holidays and travel packages, have been designed specifically to focus on and to increase your chance to see the great Serengeti wildebeest migration. We have designed the itinerary to include both the Seronera area (central Serengeti National Park) and Western corridor (western Serengeti National Park) where the majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found from May to June. To save on unnecessary trave
The Great Serengeti Migration is the constant journey of vast numbers of wildebeest herds. This herd is accompanied by large numbers of zebra, Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland and impala. This annual migration is fairly predictable. It does vary slightly from year to year depending on herd size, grass for grazing and available water.
